Yes, I certainly did. At the time, I mostly frequented GameFAQs for game guides before delving into the boards.

Wasn't live-supervised, but the olds attempted various tactics to find out after the fact what I was doing.

Oh yeah, I was downloading god knows what on limewire or Kazaa at that time

My parents never supervised my internet access. I didn't really start to use it regularly until i was like 12 or 13 though.

Internet was not a thing when I was 14. Colleges had some access, but it wasnt a thing in houses.

I think I was 14 when we got internet, and yeah, I had unsupervised access as long as my parents weren't physically present in the room, as they had no idea how to even check things like internet history.

Yes, by high school my internet access was completely unsupervised. But I mostly spent that time playing flash games on sites like AddictingGames, NinjaKiwi, Kongregate, Armor Games, etc., and eventually MMO's like Maplestory and Cabal Online. Occasionally I'd dip into adult flash games on Newgrounds, but that wasn't frequent.

Pretty much, yeah. Although my house had two computers and they were in fairly open/communal areas, so even if there was not intentional supervision it wasn't like you were always in complete privacy either.

They tried to keep me monitored, but I had learned how computers work while they hadn't, so my tracks were covered.

My parents straight up bought me Mortal Kombat as one of my first video games ever, and the first movie I saw was Terminator 2. They were cool as fuck. Granted they also put me through the wringer on Internet security before they just let me go.

Yeah, I had unfettered access. My parents didn't understand the internet at all back then and didn't realise how prevalent highly inappropriate stuff was.

Around that time I was just starting to toy around with learning HTML so wasn't doing much inappropriate. Rather I spent most of my internet time working on a Ranma 1/2 fan site that was running on Geocities.

The literal only interaction I had with either parent about the Internet was when I got in "trouble" on AOL message boards for calling someone an ass goblin. Even so, my mom laughed at it.

Unsupervised yes, as there were a lot of flame wars. Not unrestricted though, there were still parental controls.

Don't think I had internet in my house then, but I remember staying after school to work on assignments, but what I was actually doing was printing off N64 cheats from gfaqs. My teacher found out and seemed genuinely upset with me. Not mad, just let down. I felt really bad.

I was probably 15 or 16 before I ever used the internet.
