I'd say she considered it more lewd than plain nudity because of the types that take an interest in it. You could do worse. It's cheesy and predictable, but fun and has its charms and lots of that Rumiko Takahashi humor, and while the music's great, you're going to be tired of hearing it after a few seasons and it's not going anywhere. The dub is ok, the sub is decent if you prefer subs (I like it over the dub and I normally try to watch dubs over subs). There's also some filler you can dodge if you lose interest by then, and four movies to check out if you're super into the show.
