Not really. It's a message board for fucks sake. Maybe if it most definitely wasn't a violation, I'd be a bit peeved, but nothing more.

Sometimes. I've definitely been modded for some really dumb stuff, imo, but at the end of the day, this place isn't that important to me.

Not really, im more just amazed and think 10 years ago this wouldnt even be a moderation, let alone a suspension.

Never really considered any of the moderations I got to be unfair so it's just like "oh yeah figures I'd get dinged for that."

I got modded and purg'd a year ago when 261 was shut down and I made a single flippant comment. I was highly irritated because it was an EXTREME overreaction but I was screwed for a month.

The only time I got really upset is when I said something and some moron marked it and the mod agreed. I had to dispute it three times before the last moderator finally showed reading comprehension that everyone else lacked. Other than that, I don't even check my mods.

Especially if the logic makes no sense at all, or the mod is just plain wrong. I remember talking about emulation and getting modded for illegal activities. I appealed that emulation isn't strictly illegall all the time. They replied that you couldn't legally emulate games from that console, which wasn't true.

I appealed again and explained how it wasn't true and I was talking about legal emulation. After that it was just upheld with the mod saying it was still illegal. (It isn't/wasn't)

Yup, I am. I haven't gotten any new ones recently.

Nah, most times I get a chuckle out of it.

only one mod i've gotten. other times i knew it was coming so it's all good.

Its annoying because I know someones fee fee got hurt by what I said and reported me. Its also empowering knowing that lil ol me could hurt someone enough to report me just through button presses that formed words on a screen.

I got purged for a dumb message and the mod wrote a whole emotional novel about it in the notes. I was a lil upset that I was unable to respond in any way.

Nah, some of my moderations were fair enough, the ones that weren't, well, I know what type of people is doing those those things and all that shows me is i'm a bigger person

I was posting in a topic about how long until it's OK to post a movie spoiler.

My comment was basically that you should probably cover it with a spoiler warning unless it's something that is universally considered common knowledge, and the example I gave was Vader is Luke's father, except I didn't cover it with the spoiler warning.

I also got modded once for calling someone an asshat, but that one made me laugh more at the fact that someone reported it.

Yeah, namely the one that got me warned some months ago, but could have easily been a purgatory/ban because someone either over analyzed for cracks or mixed it around.

It was regarding that 'terrible joke' another user made, that resulted in a big uproar around here. If you know, you know, if you don't then you're better off.

There was another a very long time ago, but that one took the spot.
