I bought a really nice motorcycle leather jacket back in the 90's when I was younger. I bought it was I was like 19 though when I first went into the military and was still pretty thin even though I was 197 pounds.
I outgrew it though and many years later ended up just gifting it to someone who wanted a nice leather jacket but really didn't have money for it. I figured hell why not, I wasn't ever going to wear it again. I paid close to $500 for that in the 90's.
