Women don't have their guard up and act kinda motherly.

Other men are more friendly, less harsh and kinder.

Probs cause I look like a non threatening teenager without a beard.

I find people assume Im over a decade younger than I am when Im clean-shaven.

My Gf says she thinks my beard is sexy.

I lose a lot of years without the beard, however I have opposite reactions lol. Mostly all my crushes ask me why did I shave and tell me to grow it back. I've gotten a lot of compliments for my beard by both men and women, however sometimes it is nice to take a break from it.

The downside is, with the beard gone it's hard to hide how fat my face is and the double chin lol.

I remember my wife asked me to shave for our wedding, she regrets asking me to do that. I guess she forgot how baby faced I am without a beard or goatee.

My friend has very long hair and a long beard that puts mine to shame. She wanted him to shave/cut off one or the other for their wedding and left it up to him. He shaved.

Until fairly recently I had hair that went below my waist. Kinda shocked my kid when I picked her up from school after getting the haircut :P

My beard is like a beacon for people to strike up a conversation with me. Women, men, old, young. People always stop me to talk about my beard.

But its not just a standard beard. Its massive. Thick and below my waist. Its very long and full. Its definitely a conversation starter.

Heh, nice. One day he may shave it off as well, his old norm was having a shaved head, but once he started growing it out I don't think he's ever cut it unless to clean it up a bit.

I noticed like a 15 years ago, when I was flying and had noticeable facial hair (not even a beard or mustache, just like..thick stubble) TSA would make me go thru the body scanner machine.
When I was clean shaven, I always got to go thru the metal detector instead.
After like 8 instances in a row of it always working out that way based on my facial hair ("hornyposting" for the screeners if I had facial hair; "no peeking" if my face was clean), it became way too much of a coincidence to not be intentional.
I started intentionally shaving within 24 hrs of a flight and literally never again have gone thru one of those body scanning machines.

Anyone else experience this phenomenon? I found it funny that apparently having some facial hair makes me look like a terrorist apparently.

As soon as I shaved my goatee and stopped twirling my mustache, people stopped running away screaming from me
