Very Hyped for this. The first one was really great

I got hit with the gamebreaking glitch that shows up when you try to do the final mission.

Xbox, so no console commands.

An extremely frustrating way to finish a game, but the game itself was great.

Everything about that game appeals to me except first person view. Its just not something I really like. If it was a 3rd person game Id be all over it.

I put a ton of time into Kingdom Come during lockdown in 2020. If you can get around the rough edges theres definitely some magic in there. Excited to see where they go next.

It was cpu heavy and like all other huge rpg with branching quests, it has bugs. I recently played last year (march 2023) and it was bug free.

I played the first one until I got to the second town after the prologue, but I had to put it down because I couldn't get it to run acceptably on my machine.

i hope it has better optimization than their first game

First one was so fucking buggy I think I restarted 3 times at diff points in the story before completing it

Same. But i play it now on steam deck.
Also, built a 7800x3d pc last month but the gpu is a rx5600xt from my old system.

I just havent gotten back to playin the first game yet.

Meh overblown. How would a citizen in that area react to hungarians? In the text of the game the portrayal is pretty realistic, and while there can be cuman character aside from that one sidequest, overall it's a pretty good presentation of the people and history of that era.

She isnt defiant as in "action, powerful girl that defy patriarchy openly" but in the context of "she was a catholic that has her own principle of how jesus would act in times of strife by helping how she can, and while she knew her popularity woulf draw ire, she continues to help people the best she can anyway" which is pretty badass and makes sense in the historical context.

Cuman portrayed as "thugs" oh mother of subtext and environmental storytelling. When you infiltrate cuman camps, they act like people, sitting, chatting with friends, discussing payment and later you know they are literally hired. They didnt attack because they are savages who exist to kill and destroy they are mercenaries literally paid to kill and destroy.

No religious skeptics nor fanatics: again, the madonna of sasau quest which obvious mly highlights the corrupt justice system of the church. There is a quest in which the inquisition send you to find a Christian sect they deem heretical, when you do meet the "heretics" in question, they are very kind and reasonable people, just practicing their religious belief differently, again as an rpg you are given a choice to become pawn of the tyrannical and corrupt catholic church or help these opressed people the best you can.

There are no "atheists" in the modern sense but they do try and portray the real injustice of the powers that be in thay era and show persecution in the hands of those who wield powers.

I dont remember anybody supporting it for anything other than gameplay. Are you literally referring to people getting excited because of the lack of non-white people? Because if that happened, it completely passed me by.

It did happen, honestly the both sides of this argument is so stupid and extreme. The alt righters think because it didn't have poc (even if it has ethnic and religious minorities) they think the devs aren't woke and on "their side"

And the resetera types think the reverse (while completely ignoring the subtext and many portrayal of opression towards these group of minorities because they aren't PoCs)

Pretty ambivalent about vavra, but all articles about him that point to it was all 5+ years old. At least not the whole team share his views. He did some virtue signaling but gamegate in 2015 is VERY different compared to 2024's incel gaming subsection.

Nice to see this get a sequel -- it was pretty enjoyable to just explore and get lost in the world a la Skyrim. That said, the first game left some plot stuff unanswered, so hopefully they'll give us a bit more vengeance and also fix some of the jankiness. Keeping the battle system might be okay, but the limited saves, glitchiness, save bloat and unoptimized files, etc.? Nail that down and I wager it'd be a kickass sophomore effort.

that trailer is really awesome. And it releasing this year took me by surprise. I was expecting 2025-2026.

I usually prefer first tbh but this game probably would have been better as a 3rd person. They wanted it to be "immersive". The combat especially would've been much better

I was really looking forward to the original but it was a complete mess when I played it. So many bugs it made me not want to play it. Did they patch out all the bugs in the end?

It performs a hell of a lot better on Series and PS5. There are still some bugs, but considerably less.

i don't get this comment. what was "broken" about the combat? i did 4 playthroughs of the game and while the combat had some..... eccentricities, i never experienced anything i would consider "broken". i'm "alt-reich" because of that?

Yes, I recall reading this. It's a shame, especially since the Cumans in the game are basically orcs. Even their armor reflects their "otherness" when at this time period they would've been armed similarly to the Hungarians.

The combat was at best just clunky and enemies would constantly parry anything you did, constantly making the game go BYEEEOOOORRRWWW with parry slowdowns. AFAIK they never fixed sword combat, everyone says just use a mace, but I'm pretty sure I tried that and didn't find it any less clunky or annoying. I just remember constantly having to swirl the sticks around on my gamepad to try and avoid parries, and most of the time what I wanted to happen with my weapon wouldn't happen.

Oh and it always felt like 70% of the game was getting stuck up a tree in my horse.

sounds like you just need to git gud lol. maces were basically a cheat code for completely pwning anyone in armor. and swords didn't need to be fixed, they worked fine against lightly armored targets. and once you get Henry's stats and skills up to a decent level, you could basically roflstomp anyone without breaking a sweat. combat was only tedious and annoying in the beginning when Henry is unskilled, which was realistic, cuz he was just a dumb blacksmith's apprentice.

Sounds like a skill issue, the combat was fine.
