After everyone thinking it'd be a Spain vs Spain semifinal #1, it's now France vs Germany.

Will the same thing happen again tomorrow (now today...), except with England? With the home game, City are still the favorites over Real but with the Blancos and Europe, you never know. Arsenal are certainly on their back foot as they head to the away game against Bayern, but anything could happen, right?!?

I thought Atletico/Dortmund was more of a coinflip. Barca were big favorites until they got red carded though so I stand by the prediction.

I'm impressed with how we've played in the first half. Wish we'd taken one of our chances. Incredible to go to the Allianz Arena and push Bayern Munich that far back in their own ground.

Haven't been able to play close attention but Real got an early goal with City has the ball always but can't quite get close.

If these results hold England can kiss goodbye to that 5th team in CL

Edu and Arteta need to realize this season is over and start preparing for next season, get ahead so we can actually accomplish some goals then.

Real Madrid has so much discipline. They are once again the worse team for 80% of the match but manage to stay cool and win it.

Also Germany got two teams to the semi final. Leverkusen probably joins in Europe. Italy and Germany will get those spots.

Pretty impressive that the plan worked. At least I assume that was the plan, cus Real just let City play and was ok with it.

Arteta losing to Villa and then going out of the CL just to make sure Sp*rs don't make the competition is too galaxy brained for many of us to understand.

Real in CL is a masterpiece. They are huge favorites now. It would be a record 6th CL title for Kroos, Modric, Nacho and Carvejal.

No worries, I deleted it this morning after I saw this. No one else had posted in it.

Couldn't watch the City match live because that whole working thing got in the way. Was browsing the web as I watched this evening and had the result spoiled. Guess I was right though about what would happen! Sucks. Still finishing watching it now but knowing the result spoils the fun, or in this case the not fun.

Thing now is, City NEEDS to win the EPL and the FA Cup or this season will be a bit of a failure.

And finished watching. Weak ass penalties by Silva and Kovacic. Also not a good sign when you have your keeper stepping up to take a penalty before half the damn team. Doku, Walker, Stones, Rodri...none of you wanted to step up?

Ederson really is a fucking madlad stepping up and burying a penalty like that, then going right back into goal. He almost got to Rudiger's too, just dove a second too late.

So only Aston Villa remains in Europe after the quarter finals and even they needed penalties to advance.

Lille - Villa was a good game, even if the referee lost contol. The Conference League is the best thing UEFA have done in a long time.

Proud of the boys for the fightback they showed today. Really stood up and performed on a day where they could've crumbled. Where last year the WOULD have crumbled.

Top of the league. COME ON. If we win on Tuesday, by the time City play on Thursday we could be 4 points clear of them.

Its def not over for them. They are only 3 points off of 7th and have a game in hand and have a better GD than united.

Massive game tonight. I am actually extremely worried with how well Chelsea have played. Nicolas Jackson is bound to find his shooting boots eventually and it would be so typical for it to be against us.

Think they've performed about as expected to be honest. Same with Newcastle. Tons of injuries and a thin squad plus Europe did a bit of a number on both. Reckon Newcastle at least will be better but Brighton might need some investment because they still haven't replaced Caicedo or MacAllister.

Leicester are coming back! It'll be with a certain points reduction (hopefully just 4) for FFP violations, as well as some painful player sales.

But there won't be Brendan Rogers managing so maybe they survive next season.

I don't think Leicester will stay up next season. Maresca is not the greatest manager, will probably be gone by December, and I don't think the squad is balanced enough to make a go of it, especially with point reductions and limited incomings. They're probably going to have to sell players and if KDH goes they'll struggle. Reckon Ipswich or even Leeds will have a better shot of staying up.

11th and a decent European run is a solid enough season, and Bournemouth are the only team ahead of them I didn't expect to be in the same vicinity or comfortably above them. They're a decent team but without the resources to compete higher up the table consistently. Look at who they lost and who they brought in, as well as some of their important players (Mitoma, Estupinan, March) that have been injured most of the season.

They also have a game in hand on Bournemouth and are only 1 points behind them. If they jump them with that game in hand, the top 10 is basically who you expected preseason

Really annoyed that Pickford is still somehow in the golden glove race with Raya.

I rate Pickford around the same as Raya if not higher (think Pickford's only issue is his occasional embarassing fuckups, but they've gotten a lot less common over time) and Dyche is a brilliant manager, one of the best defensive organisers in the world. He got fuckin Burnley into Europe through the league and has kept a very thin Everton squad up comfortably in the end, despite the point deductions.

Raya played like 4 less matches for us than all the other keepers and is three ahead. Our defense is so goddamn good and it's still not gonna be enough. I'm tired.
