Yeah it was a story that got around at the time. That he finally won. Pretty sure winning here is what makes him eligible for thr champions tourney at the end of the series. I remember people being disappointed that this was the league he won but man I didn't realize his team was so bad. Did he bring back Charizard or some old pokemon as his 6th?

Pictures of him celebrating his win here were also the first time I saw the new design. It's so ugly.

nah he didn't bring any of his old pokes - Poipole returned (as a Naganadel) and was just like hey I'll join you for this last battle

so throughout the League challenge itself Ash didn't even have a full team, and yeah, he wins the champion challenge with a Pokemon that isn't his (and one he makes a super noob mistake with by telling it to use a poison attack against Lucario lmao)

Lycanroc was his only fully evolved pokemon when the League started, Meltan evolved before Finals, and Torracat evolved after it beat Kukui's Incineroar and then immediately fainted after evolving

btw the League itself, being a first for the Alola region, didn't even have any qualifications whatsoever. The Island challenge wasn't actually part of this journey, and that's why literally everbody got to join and it's a Battle Royale that narrows down the 16 contestants (Jessie & James make it with their strategy of avoiding battles lmao)

So he won a minor league championship basically.

Don't forget he won the Orange Island league too!

alright Sun/Moon beated.... clearly I think my last few posts highlight dissatisfaction with the series to the finish line. I'll still say its 2nd season was pretty cool but after that eh with a lot of downers

also wth..... all Alolan Pokemon get left behind this time? what a bullllshit ending!! why this change? like back in Black/White Ash's spare Pokemon started getting sent to Juniper instead of Oak, but at the end of the season she sent them to Oaks as Ash left the region. why tf would they just be left behind?

and it's the same for Jessie & James too inexplicably - they have to abandon Mareanie & Mimikyu in Alola to report back to headquarters. Yeah every series they leave their Pokemon behind now but it's been that they leave them with headquarter, not just released into the wild. because then what did Jessie & James even do this series? they can't even claim they ran baddies out which is what they've been claiming in past series. I thought well at least they got a Z-Crystal to bring back with Mimikyu but I guess not

man I hate this what a downer ending to a series I was already down on. this is no Serena Kiss that's for sure

I always really liked that championship match too, the big thing was the opponents Dragonite, but Ash cleared out the rest of their Pokemon pretty well so his final strategy was pretty much to Zapp Brannigan the Dragonite which sounds but but listen it was pretty epic

I dunno how I feel about the only Journeys companion being another Ash

in this episode he's caught a Caterpie, Metapod, Butterfree, Weedle, Kakuna, Beedrill, Paras, Parasect, Venonat, Venomoth, Pinsir, and Scyther. That's every Kanto Bug Pokemon all in one episode, more individual pokes than Ash has caught in any one series not counting the accidental Tauros horde.

Even if you only wanna count Pokemon Lines that's still more than some series ~ Kanto (10) > Unova (9) > 6 Kanto Bug Lines >= Johto (6) = Hoenn (6) >= Sinnoh (5.5) > Kalos (5) > Alola (4)

hrm this Pokemon Journeys says Slowpoke turns into a Slowking if Shellder bites its head instead of its tail - okay fine anime can do things different BUT I definitely remember a Johto episode where there's this pond where Slowpoke live with a King's Rock in the center, but it's heavily guarded by Shellder so that any Slowpoke who try to get the King's Rock gets attacked by a Shellder biting its tail and evolving into Slowbro so it can't Slowking from the King's Rock

the Slowpoke at the center of the episode tries it in the end because it's part of this prophecy to bring the Slowpoke to some paradise but anyways KING'S ROCK EVOLUTION WAS ALREADY CANONIZED FOR ANIME 850 EPISODES AGO, GOD WRITERS

It was very easy to download/install. Kust took a few minutes if thag.

I booted it up for like 2 seconds to make sure it works.

I see the automatic scheduler is default off but is that how it should be kept? do I have to activate them manually then? preroll disabled default sounds good and then there's also this Stream Display Ads thing that can be disabled

so if you don't schedule the ads it'll do pre-rolls (everybody coming in has to watch ads at the start)
you can activate ads manually, it usually takes a sec but will keep the pre-rolls off anyway
you can also "snooze" the ads a limited number of times
but at the end of the day, you either run 3 minutes of ads an hour, one way or another, or pre-rolls happen
I don't THINK the stream display ads affect that, but I'm not sure

I THINK that's all correct but ads are weird and annoying

what I do is just set it to do 3m every hour, and then hang out on the starting screen while the first round plays.
