Yes. A lot, back in the day, since I did orchestra (violin and viola) in grade school and high school. I also learned how to play guitar by reading sheet music but the cool stuff was in tab, so that's what I have used almost exclusively for the last 20+ years.

I must commend the excellent musical selection. Scott Joplin deserves widespread recognition. Just as we celebrate the likes of Mozart and Bach, Joplins name should be spoken with equal reverence. He embodies the American classical music heavyweight. His quintessentially American tale is one of rising from obscurity to dazzling so intensely that it could blind you. Joplins legacy paved the way for numerous art forms we cherish today. He composed operas and crafted music that stirred emotions. Notably, atop his music scores, it often reads not fast, a directive that ensures The Entertainer is played with a deliberate, measured pace, altering the entire essence of the piece.

Also yes to your question. This just one of my favorite works, I have to speak about it.

I had to play the clarinet in middle school music class but I hated it. It wasn't the instrument I wanted to play but didn't have a choice in the matter.

Looking back as a more open minded adult, I regret not putting more effort into learning the clarinet. But as a dumbass middle schooler I thought playing the clarinet was the lamest thing ever.

I did all-county band which was like the all stars of local schools. I played trumpet. Part of it was a one on one session with a teacher where you had to sight read a piece and play it on demand.

Sure. Played cello back in the day. I play bass now, but I mostly stick with tabs for reading music.
