RIP Akira Toriyama. This tournament, and so many other things, literally couldn't have happened without you. It's impossible to overstate how much you mattered to so many people, and your legacy will live on long after the rest of us are gone. 128 characters, 128 rounds, including a round to find third place. This time we're going to dip into manga/anime, with one of the most iconic series in the medium -- Dragon Ball! This tournament covers every part of the series -- original series, Z, GT, Super, the movies, there are even a couple of characters from the games in here. I made the bracket as well as I was able to, since there wasn't a large enough popularity poll to base the seeding off of this time, so hopefully I matched everyone up well enough that nobody gets robbed too early in this. After four long months, we're finally here at the grand final! 126 other characters have already lost their rounds, paving the way for the final two -- and, fittingly enough, they're the first two characters introduced in the series. Goku, the young boy with a tail and an ability to become a giant ape when he looks at the moon, later discovering that he's one of the last surviving members of a warrior race of aliens and grows to become basically a god. Throughout Dragon Ball, we would see Goku become not only a stronger fighter, but an active part of the outside world, learning not just how to fight but how to interact with others and become a loyal friend, husband, father, and savior of multiple planets. Bulma, the young girl and inventor of the pocket dragon radar, who would become the first person Goku ever meets and remain one of his closest friends and allies for the entire length of the series, albeit in a supportive non-combat role. While her dubious initial goal is simply to wish for a boyfriend, Bulma would learn to see the bigger picture of things and place the needs of others before her own, up to and including creating a separate timeline by sending her son Trunks back in a time machine (another of her inventions) to save the world from the Android threat. Of course, both these descriptions are only a small, brief, vague summary of their roles in the series; but which one is most deserving of the title now comes down to you. And here we go!
