I go to Starbucks once a week and get the same drink and before the 1st it was $6.45 and now it is $6.95. Haven't gone anywhere else to notice a difference.

I really only go to Sonic if Im craving fast food and I havent noticed much of a price difference.

I used to eat fast food nearly daily while on the road during my lunch break. Now I don't.

I havent eaten out since 2017. I make every meal from home. No frozen foods, no boxed meals. Everything made fresh.

Grocery prices have really jumped from the pandemic though.

Yeah it has been but there was another increase in price on April 1st.

All of the fast food in my area costs the same that it did several months ago

There isn't a nationwide Fast Food Company that raises prices for everybody. Maybe Starbucks did but that is just one company.

I don't go anywhere like that. No Wendy's, no McDonald's, no Burger King, no Carl's Junior, no Sonic, no Shake Shack, nothing

I was on a 2hr road trip doing work, said screw it and got taco bell.. it was aight. What made it was sitting in the shade on the trucks tailgate.

Taco Bell has lost their Goddamn minds with these prices. $3 for a Doritos Locos taco when it takes like at LEAST 4 of them to fill you up. Yeah, you can get a combo deal but it's still over $10. They used to be cheap but I can seriously get better food for cheaper at a real Tex-Mex restaurant or food truck here in the area.

Oh, and I'll also add the the real tacos come with maybe a tablespoon of meat and of you're lucky maybe half the lettuce and cheese are in the shell.

I went to a small chain here, Super Duper Burgers, figuring if I'm going to pay a lot for fast food it might as well be high quality.

It was, but I wasn't expecting it to be expensive AND small. The burger was puny and I wasn't full after the burger and garlic fries.

Heard the same thing about Big Macs, that they're tiny now.

Sizes have gone down across the board. Carls Jr/Hardees larges are now the size of what mediums used to be.

I stopped going to any place that price gouges, but unfortunately that's a lot of places these days

Fuck fast food in 2024. It's become way too expensive. I never really go anymore. It is just not worth it

Haven't had fast food consistently in 20 years. Maybe 5 times a year. Don't really see the difference tbh.

I realized recently that Perkins is just about the same price as McDonalds. So I go there now. And the food is better too.

i also basically gave up fast food, except for a few of the fast-casual 'assembly line' places. i can get a bowl for $10-$12 at those places and get two full meals out of it.

I dunno, our baristas here get paid $25 hour minimum and it costs us $5. $5.50 if you want soy milk. What the hell are you clowns over there doing?

Yes, minimum wage increased in California. Did fast food prices only increase in California? Nope, they increased everywhere, no matter whether minimum wage increased there or not. Thus, that proves it wasn't the minimum wage increasing that caused it, it was greedy corporations using literally anything they can get their hands on as an excuse to raise prices, no matter how illogical it actually is.

So, good point, TC! Corporations DO suck!

i haven't regularly gone to fast food places in at least 6 or 7 years, and i wasn't planning on starting now. but anyway, TC, are you under the impression that fast food prices haven't already been rising this entire time? while the minimum wage has remained stagnant for decades? do you really think that the actual problem is paying basic workers a fair wage and not, y'know, rampant and unchecked corporate greed?

I rarely eat it. So not much effect on me
