like when you were in school and had to manually sharpen. Or even use mechanical pencils. Pens have like taken over , even way more now, over pencils.

I do. Much easier to fill out character sheets in pencil, so that I can change things as needed.

Mechanical cant do certain techniques that lead pencil can do.

Yes. I use a sharpener that looks like a paintbrush. I use it in front of guests to confuse them.

I have some with my name engraved on them my mom gave me one school year. She gave me like 100 and I used like 3 the whole year. Haven't used them in about 25 years or so but they've found themselves in every apartment and house I've ever lived in. Just one of those things I guess. Never know when you might need a pencil except I do know and the answer has been "never" for decades now.
