Too many holidays that are more likely to give time off are placed in the 2nd half of the year. For example as a college student, the fall has Fall break, Thanksgiving week and Christmas year end all as holiday periods. In the Spring there is just spring break which isn't even really tied to a material holiday.

At my current workplace, there are literally no corporate holidays before July. I recognize private businesses don't necessarily follow federal holidays but nonetheless federal holidays create guidelines and expectations in the population.

The office of Pontifex Maximus could also fix all the daylight savings time shit and stop a bunch of people from dying in car wrecks every year.
