For millions I'm sure it is on that level.

However, past fascist leaders have exhibited the same traits and situation that Trump is emulating with MAGA. I think for far more it's more of a political dedication to a fascist leader, one that demands loyalty and purity tests. That normalizes violence as acceptable political action.

My mom who used to be more moderate has been slipping while my father who basically listened to hannity's radio station where he says the really unhinged shit he can't say on Fox every fucking day has grown to be far less trusting of Republican news and while he's still conservative I feel like he's more left than my mother which is something I'd never have predicted.

Yeah, it's a sticker of Biden pointing and saying "I Did That". Trumpers were putting it on gas pumps when gas was artificially inflated by Saudi Arabia in the 2020 electoral year.

I had a family member who was anti Trump suddenly become pro Trump when she started dating some weirdo. Her friends started calling her out on fb which made her double down on it. Quite the sad sight to behold.

I left Facebook entirely around the time that Trump was spooling up his primary run in 2015 in part because I knew that if I stayed around any longer I'd lose a lot of respect for a lot of people that I'd known for a long time.

Funny you say that because my ex girlfriend suddenly became conservative after starting to date this biker. The last thing I saw her post was about putting up a wall and making it electric. It was so flipping sudden too lol.

Ugh.. it sucks to hear that, even in Canada we still have trump supporters and for some odd reason one part of my extended family seem to think he is great despite the rest of that side of the family all agree his is an idiot/failure

Man my current closest friend was like that 8 months ago. He was slowly but surely falling into that Maga bullshit. Luckily now he has snapped out of it after not seeing him for several months
