Proving Grounds came out in 2007, and then releases after that were erratic (and possibly bad). What happened?

The true cause of the economic collapse was the lack of a Tony Hawk game that year

People kept playing their old games and the economy wasn't prepared to not have all that sweet video game money flowing in

It'd be nice to see them revert, but they'd need to read a manual.

Because there are very few game series that can justify a new release every single year, and eventually people get tired of that

EA came in with Skate, causing Neversoft to bail, which lead to EA having no decent competition and then ending Skate at 3.
It really sucks skating games died so hard, so fast.
Tony Hawk is such a great series. At one point, i had a BC PS3 which had every mainline Tony hawk game beaten on it.

I'm still very butthurt that they didn't continue remastering them, I thought the 1+2 remaster was fantastic and was really looking forward to 3 since it was the first one I played back in the day

3 is one of the few games to get a 10/10 on Gamespot.
