You will be granted a special magical pair of boots that will only teleport you to work and back. If you try to use them to teleport anywhere else they won't work. TBH I would take the boots. It would help s whole lot more in the long run..

Money. What's the point of having such a cool ability but it's wasted because it's only able to be used for work. I rather just buy have to work

Is there a range limit? Could I get a job in New York but live on a west coast beach?

Take a job in a city with a really high cost of living so that you get paid way more, and live somewhere with a dirt-cheap cost of living, not necessarily even in this country. Sounds good.

I'd still probably take the money though.

I mean on one hand that time save adds up fast, and if you're a contractor you could save on fuel right there. On the other hand you could just make the money work for you.

Imagine being an astronaut stationed in ISS. Is there a limitation on things I can bring to work?

Oh man this is hard.. This includes work trips, right?

I'd obviously save more money and have a lot more.

I probably spend 12k miles alone every year going to work and back. That's like 1500 a year on gas, 1500 a year on tolls getting to work. And than car maintenance and insurance. Maybe close to 10k.
Time is important too. I think I spend up to 14 days stuck in traffic (or up to 8 hours a week) a year.

So the million dollar question is... One lump sum of 1 million or 10k a year on car fees and saving 14 days a year on traveling.

Maye I'll work for another 30 years? 300k and 420 days saved

The teleport. For gig work it could actually pay off, because anywhere you have to go for the work counts as "your job". Immediately to a store or restaurant, immediately grab the food or items, deliver them instantaneously.

If you work in one location the money is better, but if you're on the go at all, the teleport allows immediate payoff & probably more money because you can accomplish things so much faster

I live like 15 minutes from work. The money is way better, unless I could sell the boots because teleportation technology is probably worth some cash.

With what I have saved, plus the fact that my house is paid off? Pretty sure it wouldnt be an issue.

Honestly, the more I think about it the more I'd want the boots. I could live somewhere in the boonies but also have full access to the big city. All those restaurants I like? Just teleport to work. The hobbies I have downtown? Just teleport to work. Want to see friends or family without driving? Just teleport to work and take the train.

Actually, what counts for the stipulation of having a job? You could have friends across the world give you such jobs as "watch my cat for the week", then pop right over and just not do the job, have it canceled after you get back home.
