Pretty sure after I saw Death Note back in maybe 2007 or something, like a lot of people I started wanting to watch anime. I'm pretty sure I went on some forums and asked for the best anime shows of all time or something. But for whatever reason, i completely forgot about these shows.

  • The vision of Escaflowne
  • Last Exile
  • Samurai 7
  • Ouran Host High School Club
  • Gankutsuou
  • Legend of the Galactic Heroes
  • Ninja Scroll
  • Hajime No Ippo


Also, I need your help remembering a particular anime. It was this sort of magic/victoria/steampunk world, I'm pretty sure the main character was a slightly effeminate but kind boy with white hair. I think he had a glove, or gloves? And the villain was this sort of white blob with a top hat. It was a magic based anime, but it was never finished. I think the manga itself may never have been finished. I remember it being very good but also very frustrating because of no closure.

Was it d. gray-man? The MC sounds like allen walker and the blob guy with a top hat you talking about sounds like the millennium earl, lol.

Lol yeah d. gray man was that good stuff in the 2000s. Sadly the series in general never was quite the same when the mangaka messed up her hand. It was this real long hiatus, and when she finally came back to start the series up again its in another magazine that only releases 4 manga chapters in a year (meaning its still nowhere near finished yet). The progress has been so slow that the series kinda' faded from a lot of people's memory.

Ouran high is like the 3rd best comedy anime of all time so yeah, definitely watch it.

It was on hiatus when I started it around 2009-2010. I got 100 and something chapters in and just forgot about it. I remember it being really good though.
