Not recently. Since I work full time at a bookstore, I try to read as many books as possible (one or two novels plus a few comic books every week is my average). I just don't have time for 1000-page novels on a regular basis; they're more of a vacation thing to me.

Never quite got through The Count of Monte Cristo or started War and Peace, but I read the Silo series in a 1,700-page volume recently.

Ive semi recently reread A Song of Ice and Fire and A Dance With Dragons is just over 1,000 pages. A storm of Swords is around 970 so it was close too.

Every year I reread The Sword of Truth series which is about 15 books. Im currently rereading it right now. Book #2 in the series Stone of Tears is the largest book at 979 pages. Its close.

I recently reread Patrick Rothfuss Kingkiller Chonicle which is 2 books (waiting for the final book for 13 years now) and book 2 The Wise Mans Fear is 994 pages.

I tend to only read long series. When I was a very young kid I started reading Stephen King because he tended to have some longer stories. Books that were 300 pages didnt satisfy me and were over too quick. I got into King because his tended to have some bigger books. Like I loved the uncut version of The Stand that was over 1100 pages.

But mostly I turned to series. Something that is multiple books with most of the books being 600 to 700 pages appeals to me.
