To this, I dont feel sorry for woman in the aspect of simple dating.

Its not just men, its woman too. Both men and woman are a problem in dating. It's not just men.

Now I'm about to use the word "you" but know I'm speaking in general when I use that word. I don't mean literally you.

It's 2024, not 1950. If you want equality, equality comes with the good and the bad. It's not a buffet you get to cherry pick only the good. The bad that comes with equality, you cant all of a sudden point at traditional values because it's beneficial to you and be confused there's pushback by anyone questioning the audacity.

For example, courting. It's 2024, a woman can "court" too.

Woman make great money nowadays, and also have great education. This isnt the 1920s where a lot of woman had to rely on men. A woman can take the initiative in dating, they can call/text first, pay for her own things, be the breadwinner, and more. Woman can also just like men, be the toxic ones who just expect shit they don't actually deserve because of some absurd mindset they are owed it for being the woman. This includes roundabout ways of going about men paying like expecting a man to ask you out more times than not, then going "well they asked me, so they should pay." Ultimately dodging it's a roundabout way of still expecting the man to pay most of the time. Which again, goes back to the equality conversation.

That's not even getting into the ridiculous games some men and woman think is cute courting. No, what some men and woman call courting, is just petty games no one has got time for. Essentially we have people (men and woman) wanting things both ways on a lot of things which isn't translating well in the year 2024.

Some men and woman want to both act like we are in 1915 and 2024 at the same time.

Also, even if porn was harmful, it is a hard thing to enforce when there are folks who can naturally draw/illustrate and write good fiction.

Why are we acting like both men and woman dont prefer their significant other to be physically within a healthy range of fat. That doesn't mean skinny or buff super models

Let's be real, most people regardless of gender or sex aren't jumping at the chance to be with someone morbidly obese if they themselves are within a healthy weight range.

Maybe by way of unrealistic expectations, sure

There's good and bad to it. We absolutely need to do a better job so that people aren't getting their sexual education from porn, and the industry needs cleaned up since women are often treated in a predatoratory manner that's harmful to them and society overall. It can also be harmful when overused, but that's true for just about everything.

I don't think banning porn is the solution, though.
