Interestingly enough, Into Free was talking about the end-game stuff, if you pay attention to the lyrics. Even tells you how to beat the game before the song ends

so far w/ my settings the very first area is like a 50-60 fps experience for me on a 9900k and 2080ti. visually doesn't look great maybe a little better than elden ring at best imo

first camp area fps 45-60 fps for me it depends where the camera is pointed

maybe like 2-3 dozen npcs in this area

Game has overwhelmingly negative reviews, people were saying you have to spend 2 bucks if you want to make a second character or something >_> edit: Looking at the "DLC" list (is premium currency really "DLC"?), I guess it's just the character creator. And teleport crystals can be purchased too...

How does it play though? I never reached the end of the first one, got kinda tired of the repetitive monster design and lack of fast travel.

Also damn those rocks the characters pick up in the beginning must have weighed as much as like a small car lol. Way bigger than the boulders that strongman pick up.

I am playing on a TV with excellent VRR capabilities but the fps drops too below the threshold for the PS5's version of VRR to actually do it's thing so it is what it is.

ok i cant sleep so played a bit more. i made it to the first town

also i turned off dlss. it looks really blurry.

im playing at 4k INTERLACED (so not native 4k) + TAA . looks wayyy sharper than dlss performance. game is running low 40s to mid 50s rn (2080ti + 9900k + 32 gb ram @ 3200 mhz + game installed on a 970 evo). most demanding segment so far was the short dragon fight. dropped to low 40s. umm decent amount of npcs in that one.

i consider this playable lmfao

even if the main city runs at 20 fps i think i can handle it.

Oh nvrmind I'm dumb. I had image scaling and sharpening off in the nvcp so that's why dlss looked blurry. Looks fine now.

Played for hour and a half. It's amazing. Love the new pawn stuff.

made it to the capital with 17 mins to spare before refund period ends (tho i decided not to refund since im having fun so far). would have made it sooner if the cyclop didnt 1 shot me lol.

the performance is not as bad as i expected tbh. Game wouldnt drop below 30 fps. it mainly stayed in mid the 30s-40s throughout the capital.

It is pretty stuttery tho i think other people mentioned bad frame times being the culprit. doesn't really hurt my eyes that much and I don't expect to stay here too long. so im gonna restart the game and play for real tommorow. Unless i can't sleep within the next hour or so

I just got to the point where I could rest at the inn. I'll play more tomorrow. Pretty amazing thus far.

i got hit with a fucking armored cyclops as soon as i left the capital, it chased me into a group of wolves, then saurians, i managed to kill them, but let this be my way of saying to buy lots of healing supplies, and don't hesitate to buy better gear early

I have decided to start recording my video game playing starting with Dragon's Dogma 2. Not really because I think it will get much views or I will get anything out of it but because at the very least I can always enjoy looking back at it and seeing the stuff I did or if I want to go back and review a certain part of the story I can just reference the video.

Just started facing them, not finding them very hard at all. They were some of the hardest enemies early on in DD1, and you'd get some quests to kill them or get their skin really early on as well. Fortunately saurian scales are what I need to make my panties stronger.

i'm encumbered very often. i guess the obvious solution is stop picking everything up, but the first game had you using literally anything and everything as upgrade materials and quest items. even random shit like a letter or badge of some kind could end up an upgrade mat
