The rules are simple: each day, I'm going to post a poll for a given Pokemon typing, with each generation's roster of new Pokemon filling in that typing. You just need to look at what each generation had to offer, and select which generation you think brought the best new roster (for any reason; you could say that a single Pokemon was so good that it overwhelms everything else the generation spawned, or you could select a generation that may be more well-rounded that the one that created your personal favorite). At the end of the day, one generation will be crowned a champion (with potential tiebreakers if need be), and that generation will advance to a second round, where the eighteen winners, and fourteen strongest runner-ups will be sorted into a 32-entrant tournament to crown which generation produced the best overall roster of a single typing. Yesterday's results saw Generation V reign supreme, securing the win with 30 votes, and more than doubling Gen VII as its next closest competitor. I guess it makes sense that sheer volume of options on the board would work well in Gen V's favor. For today's contest, we're doing Dark-types. Not an initial typing (and heck, not even retroactively added to Gen I), but they've become a mainstay, especially of early routes. Given Gen VI's limited roster, I have folder Mega Evolutions into their list, as those were, effectively, some of the new Pokemon created in lieu of brand new designs for Gen VI. UF8 03/18/24 6:03:24 PM #18:	gen 6's mega offerings are pretty compelling ngl. gen 9 is stacked with only 4 real misses there imo (lokix to bombirdier). gen 5 also has real solid options, it's just a shame i'm not a fan of the scrafty/mandibuzz/hydreigon lines. half of gen 4's list rules, but also stunky/skuntank exist and drapion is a bit whatever. gen 2 and 3's lists are pure and holy to me so i guess it's got to be one of the two, and seeing as i'm a good deal less into murkrow and sneasel compared to their gen 4 evos it might as well be gen 3.
