Conversely, depending on the setting, they're mostly immune to magic because their scientific/mechanical nature is a counter to magical energies. Also arguably depending on the setting, they might be relatively immune to fire/ice damage, but the change in temperature can either slow down or accelerate their mental processing by altering electrical resistance in their electrical pathways (a la superconductivity).
