Yeah, Freddie was great.

I thought it was a solid cast all around, however he was definitely the most important sibling and well-thought out character.

I too am disappointed there won't be a 3rd. The Shazam movies were some of my favorite DC movies.

Especially #2, Billy made the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good of everyone else without hesitating and that was one of the best hero moments in like all the DCU. That 15 year old kid was more heroic than pretty much every other DCU hero. Blue Beetle is also super dope, I really enjoyed that movie and character. Glad he's one of the few being kept going forward.

I enjoyed them both. Didn't care much for the villains in the second one. And I didn't like how kid Billy was barely in the movie.

I loved Blue Beetle. I watched it once in theaters and then again on Thanksgiving. It's a great family movie. Probably going to be a tradition where my family watches it every Thanksgiving now.

What? His imprisonment, loss of powers and relationship with one of the villains was like a main plot point of the storyline.

Nice. I watched it once by myself in theaters and then treated my mom to seeing it in theaters, I think also around Thanksgiving.

They probably put more importance on freedie cause he's been around a long time though originally just a friend not a foster sibling. The other siblings aside from Mary haven't been around as long. And Mary wad originally his actual blood sister.

She ended up with rich foster parents while Billy was living alone in a crappy apartment.

Oh o also wanted to add this bit of trivia. Freddie originally became captain Marvel Jr cause captain marvel/Shazam was fighting I think his name was captain nazi and one of the two got thrown into a boat that Freddie was fishing from

This crippled Freddie and Billy felt so bad he shared his powers with him.

Yes Shazam. Had a villain that was a literal nazi.

Captain America literally punches Hitler, it's even a famous panel. So not all that surprising.

Well captain America was literally created to boost patriotism in kids. And was made around then I believe.

I just think captain nazi is a funny name. Shazam had a few interesting villains. But I think he's the only hero who has a villain who's far more popular than he is.

My point was, it doesn't mean much to point out that he has a villain who is a Nazi when Marvel comics feature literal Hitler in a panel.

Also, yeah, his name is Captain Nazi. You were doubting yourself in an earlier post, however you were right.

I don't know which villain you're talking about that's far more popular than him. Looking up his list of main villains the only one I recognize as a non-comic reader is Black Adam and that's admittedly only because of the movie.

I at least knew Shazam was a real character before I saw the movie.

I've seen black Adam's name tossed around a lot more than Shazam and that was before the movie. I think I've seen someone who thought he was a superman villain. But I was meaning more popularity wise rather than how well known.

Also my phone apparently doesn't think k
