For example, I think it can be unanimously agreed that the pandemic occurring during the last election year made Trump look even worse. Now in my opinion, he still would have lost, but I think we can all agree his handling of it hurt him in the election.

If you had the choice of stopping such a disaster, whatever kind, but said disaster would be something like that which would make Trump look terrible and all but seal his fate in losing the election, what would you do?

In this hypothetical, if the disaster doesn't occur Trump wins the election narrowly. Let's just say Biden has a scandal where he is going to lose unless this event occurs.

also, didnt people commit suicide during trumps government shutdown due to lack of income? That makes trump an actual killer

Let's just say it's something ambiguous enough that you can't tell how impactful it is, you have to go with your gut. It might be something that lasts a short while, but has the potential to last a long time. Could be a conflict or health event, but it's something that will make Trump look even more foolish or evil or terrible and guarantee his loss.

Though to be fair they've also been trying to succeed in their goals (fascism) and so far have mostly failed. So they will indeed try to succeed again.

A Trump presidency doesn't need to be set against some imaginary unspecified disaster for it to be an appalling prospect.

An authoritarian regime hell bent on implanting right wing Christian operatives in key roles, while continuing to strip the rights of women and minorities, fostering a culture of hatred, violence and the cultish veneration of a corrupt leader.
