Someone made a Steam Group that listed all the games they are involved with. It got mild attention and never really made waves until employees from SBI lost their shit and started trying to force a harassment campaign against the creator of that group and get his accounts banned for... listing the games they had a hand in and it blew up.

Now everyone is seeing what a grift they are and calling them out openly. Also imagine linking a Kotaku article unironically which is full of SBI fluffing and ass kissing.

Curious did they have anything to do with Forspoken?

Haven't played any of these games so have no idea if they are good or bad. I know Forspoken is notorious bad via story.
Starfield is Starfield but don't think story had much to do with it so kinda red herring.

Mortal Kombat 1 is really good game though from what I know about it.

I'm seeing them mentioned on Kotaku, Neogaf and some other places. Google is constantly giving me Alan Wake articles and I saw one from TheGamer talking about how stupid it is for gamers to name Alan Wake II as proof of SweetBaby ruining games.

Alan Wake 2 was great. It didn't sell amazingly but I don't think people realise how tough things actually are for single player game because they're focused on bubble shit like this.

That statement is still taken wildly out of context I see. It was a statement of the reality of the situation, their opinions don't matter to the people that make decisions regarding AI. They can complain on social media all they want nobody cares. That's just the sad reality it wasn't him saying their opinions are invalid.

He's a Dunning-Kruger poster boy for a lot of things but that wasn't really one of them.

Alan Wake 2 would have cleaned up a lot of GOTY awards if not for Baldur's Gate 3. It's crazy that people are holding it up as "go woke go broke" because Remedy "replaced" a Quantum Break cameo character with a black woman.

Going purely off of the stuff I'm familiar with, either the writing they worked on is shit (real bad audio logs and banter in Suicide Squad, unknown work in Gotham Knights but all the writing there was shit), or is a direct downgrade from stuff they were not involved with (Spider-Man 2 narrative < Spider-Man and Miles Morales, GOW Ragnarok narrative < GOW 2018). So if they write for products that are either subpar in writing or worse than ones where they weren't involved in, I'd like an explanation for why I shouldn't view their involvement with the same trepidation I would for a Ben Falcone movie or a Dean Devlin/Roland Emmerich joint.

Though yes, you will also have grifters going hog wild on this. Pretty sure that was just a goof someone made on IMDB (which apparently has games despite IMDB standing for the internet movie database?), it's not listed on their site and I don't think they're in the credits like for Gotham Knights. It was a similar thing where also on IMDB Forspoken and Saints Row were credited to Sweet Baby, and while the lack of good writing would match up it isn't on the company page or the credits so it would be a lie to say that they worked on either. 2 definitely is sweet baby though.

Acting is still acting and writing is still writing, whether it's for a tv show, movie, or a video game.

I don't really think any of the narrative issues for Spidey 2 would even be relevant for a consultancy group anyway.

To me it seemed kinda obvious their problem was that they had to primarily write around their gameplay and quest structure and things felt uneven because of it.

It's also a bit more obvious what that structure is after three games.

There are people trying to blame them for the deaf love interest even though she was already in these games before 2.

He's a streamer. He has a camera pointed at him broadcasting him and his home to the world. He's presenting himself. He looks unkempt and his home is a pigsty.

Therefore, he presents himself as a slob. He could've cleaned himself up and at least his bedroom up to stream, but nah, I guess it was too much effort for him to present himself as clean and healthy.
