Well, it seems Corrik's fire has finally been lit.

Given that it's Corrik, I think he means that it's unlikely scum paired up with each other in such a low-key scenario.

Normally I don't like answering for other people, but I doubt Corrik would make such an obvious gaffe as scum.

Didn't feel like a risk unless Corrik/isquen are exactly both scum. Either one of them should want to date you over the other. If they allowed you to die they would just both die on day 2/3 and that's two scum down.

It's a pragmatic offer. Corrik and I share similar interests in that we tend to always be overscrutinized when we both have day 1 availability that approaches 0 (though in point of confession, I slept through almost every AM hour today. Weather shift is making me feel garbo.)

I think Kirby is town. His play doesn't make any sense for scum I think. Drawing attention with some Ulti scheme, being fine with encroaching doom plotted out for like 12 hours straight, even the way he claimed vanilla.

But, I don't know how to save him. Any of you guys swing?

I would be willing to agree to a breakup with Lopen but only if the following conditions are met:

-At least 3 other teams commit to breaking up as well.

-At least two of those 3+ are from the pairs that formed in topic 1 (Red/Ulti, Peaf/Dumey, Sultan/MZero)

Nothing else will be juicy enough to risk my security. Lopen would have to agree too of course.

If I could kick FD in there in his place I'd do it though

Yup, that went about as expected. Honestly, though, I'm happy with how this turned out. Lots of data to pull from in the back half of Day 1.

So now let's continue the discussion. Those of you who think I'm scum, who are my scumbuddies? And if I flip town, which players look worse?

... But what exactly do you expect Lea and MZero to do, really? I would be more concerned about the people who were shading me as scum! It's easier to sway people to avoid dating someone than it is to save them yourself if you're already paired up with somebody. Because then it's less of a save and more of an exchange.

I don't hold it against Lea or MZero if they don't do anything, really. It'd be foolish to hold this against them when we're playing by very different rules where saving people isn't so easy.

Like, seriously, I'm gonna be disappointed if you gun for Lea and MZero when I flip town. That's asinine.

Kirby Is probably town. Lopen has been running the day a bit and I feel a bit more uneasy their but it isn't coming off inheritally scummy like other times lopen runs the day

You're missing the point. Do Lea and MZero think it's worth sacrificing JC or Sultan in my place, especially knowing that I'm a vanilla?

You have to understand that most people went into this day pairing up to either protect themselves or to pair up with people they think are town. You and I made a demonstration that it doesn't have to be that way and that breakups can be used to force reactions and scenarios. We're playing a very different game from regular Mafia here.

If a couple wants to break up, I can give JC to Kirby and attempt to seduce of the two newly freed electrons.

Reasons for:

You think your partner might be scum
You think I might be scum
You need gambling to feel alive
You want to enjoy the pleasure of my company

Reasons against:

You think Kirby is scum
I won't get to hang out with JC
You don't want to enjoy the not pleasure of my company

Id partake in a swap to save Kirby, I feel like hes town

Not to be a downer, I appreciate y'all sticking your neck out to save this doomed soul... but any pair willing to break up is basically saying, "Sure, I'll throw away my guaranteed safety to get a chance to doom my partner who will also be arguing to have me dead." Since breakups have to be mutual and all that.

I think a more interesting conversation is: how did it get to this point? Of particular, it bothers me that Chris has had absolutely nothing of substance to say about everything that's happened these past 16 hours. I know his Internet is down, but still. He didn't even blink at Lopen breaking up with him

(But seriously, unless your role gains power upon death or something, it's not worth saving me. I'm a vanilla and scum knows that. Keep the rest of y'all's identities safe)
