punched Jeremy Jamm?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__e9uHqJoZU To tl;dr the video, Jamm shows up drunk at a wedding he wasn't invited to, causing a scene and throwing stink bombs. When he's told to leave by Ben (the groom), he refuses, and Ron steps forward to escort him out. Ron places a hand on Jamm's shoulder, and Jamm responds by shoving Ron in the chest. Ron gives him a warning that he will "give him that one" and begins to tell him there will be consequences if he touches him again. Jamm interrupts Ron and shoves him a second time, then directly threatens to kick his ass and raises a fist. At this point Ron punches Jamm in the face. The next episode sets up with Jamm suing Ron for assault and implying that Ron will lose if it goes to trial, but to me it seems open-and-shut that Jamm was the aggressor and Ron was taking reasonable actions to try and get him to leave so the wedding could continue. The only thing that I could see working in Jamm's favor is that Ron was actually the first to initiate physical contact by touching his shoulder, and possibly escalated the conflict rather than respond with equal force, but with an entire wedding full of witnesses that could testify about Jamm's behavior and aggression I think he could have beaten the assault charges (no pun intended) if the case went to trial. Then again, it's Pawnee, so he probably would have lost anyway because everybody in that town is a fucking idiot. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah, Ron was legally in the right and would win the lawsuit given the number of witnesses.

Ron was 100% in the right and justified. If its my decision he wins the trial but knowing how fucking stupid the law is Jamm probably would win. Side note I honestly just less than 10 minutes ago watched a Parks and Rec episode.

No, that's the thing... the average person thinks that ridiculous lawsuits can win easily, so the show plays into that. Meanwhile, in reality, this had about a hundred witnesses that would attest that the "victim" initiated the fight (someone politely trying to escort a trespasser out does not constitute a fight), and Ron plus a load of witnesses were major local civic and business leaders. The lawsuit might drag on longer than it should, so the cost of avoiding that by a small settlement might be smarter, but Ron would win pretty handily. --- Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less. ... Never got around to watching this show, but Ron was absolutely in the right. And a lawsuit should be in his favor, too.

It was self defense. Jamm instigated and Ron took him down. Didnt use any more force than necessary either. One punch and it was done

Everyone is always justifified to punch Jamm no matter the situation, maybe not legal but justifified.
