if you accuse them, they'll reply with something like this (courtesy of chatgpt)

What?! I'm genuinely offended by the idea that I'd use ChatGPT!!! My thoughts are mine, not generated by some algorithm!!! Don't undermine my authenticity with such wild assumptions!!!

I like how it has become a sort of automatic instinct for people to recognize AI-generated text. It didn't even take that long.

That's how we are gonna end with it.

Someone is too lazy to write a full mail, so it just gives ChatGPT the bullet points, and then the AI writes a nice big mail, with "lot of thought" in it.

Until the receiver is too lazy to read a full mail, so it just gives it to ChatGPT to extract only the bullet points, because they don't give a fuck about anything else anyways.

It's disheartening to think about those who might miss out on the valuable insights shared through the AI posts in this topic. The advancements and perspectives offered by artificial intelligence are truly remarkable, and it's unfortunate that some may not fully appreciate or recognize their significance. Let's hope that more people become aware of and engage with the insightful contributions made by AI in this discussion.

If I have to write a non-causal email to a professional colleague or large group (who I cant trust to keep it between us), will use ChatGPT to write it.

But it is important that I proof what AI wrote, for errors and to include local jargon.

Even with proofing/editing it saves a lot of time and mental energy.

it kind of highlights how much bullshit is in our language. How much filler and fluff we add to every dumb conversation.

I find that it's pointless to make long, detailed emails

No one reads them anyway... One sentence no punctuation responses are fine internally

My boss sometimes even just writes the response in the subject line itself instead of the email body

Utilizing ChatGPT and AI technology for email communication presents a myriad of benefits, streamlining the process and enhancing the overall efficiency of email correspondence. Firstly, ChatGPT can be integrated into email platforms to offer personalized email drafting assistance. By understanding context, tone, and recipient preferences, ChatGPT can suggest suitable language and structure for various types of emails, ranging from formal business communications to casual correspondence. This not only saves time for the sender but also ensures that emails are articulate and tailored to the recipient, increasing the likelihood of engagement and achieving desired outcomes.

Moreover, AI-powered email management systems can effectively prioritize incoming emails, categorizing them based on relevance and urgency. ChatGPT can analyze email content and metadata to determine which emails require immediate attention, enabling users to focus on critical tasks while delegating less pressing matters to be addressed later. Additionally, AI algorithms can learn from user interactions over time, refining their prioritization strategies to better align with individual preferences and work patterns. This adaptive approach ensures that important emails are never overlooked amidst the deluge of incoming messages, enhancing productivity and reducing the risk of missed opportunities or deadlines.

Furthermore, ChatGPT can facilitate seamless communication by offering multilingual support and real-time translation capabilities. In an increasingly globalized world, where businesses operate across linguistic and cultural boundaries, AI-powered email systems equipped with ChatGPT can bridge communication gaps and facilitate collaboration on a global scale. Whether composing emails in different languages or translating incoming messages for comprehension, ChatGPT ensures that language barriers do not hinder effective communication. This enables organizations to expand their reach, forge international partnerships, and engage with diverse stakeholders with ease, ultimately fostering greater inclusivity and driving business growth.

ChatGPT may not be suitable for message board posts on GameFAQs as it may generate responses that lack specific gaming knowledge or understanding of the latest updates, potentially providing inaccurate information to users seeking help or advice. Additionally, it might not capture the nuanced and community-specific language used on gaming forums, leading to responses that feel out of place or unnatural in the context of GameFAQs discussions. Moreover, without a dedicated gaming knowledge base or awareness of the latest gaming trends, ChatGPT's contributions may not align with the specialized expertise expected in the gaming community.

Its deeper than that the old generation always fears and demonizes the technology that makes something they spent decades learning obsolete in months.

And its always based on their limited perspective. Most adults cant do basic math with a pen and paper one year after high school (assuming they ever could), old men yell at the clouds screaming how calculators ruined math. but it didnt, not even a little bit. Now we can do so much more math because mathematicians can now do countless more calculations they can work on bigger problems.

Oh god, people wont know how to write emails. First yes they will, they absolutely will, because no one is talking about removing properly worded emails from the ecosystem. Second most people dont know how to write them now, AI might help those who suck at it, last if it is a skill that is lost to time well survive.

My grandfathers grandfather use to make horseshoes, like his father and his father before him. I have no idea how to make horseshoes yet the world keeps turning.

We are lucky to be pioneers of this amazing moment in history, we get to shape how this tech will impact society for years to come. We could yell at the clouds about what is being lost or we could help develop it so it preserves what we care about most.
