Hasan has fallen off in the last two years, I used to watch him avidly but I can only be entertained up to a certified point after lots of really stupid fucking takes from him in a short span.

Regardless of that, the "curious you preach socialism but practice capitalism in the hegemonic international reserve country" schtick is a low IQ non argument. Socialism is capitalism but heavily reined in & regulated, in fact, most of the only good guard rails the USA has are democratic socialist policy. The more those are revoked by Republicans, the worse it gets so most of us that preach socialism are already living our values. Hasan is just a tankie though whose critiques only horseshoe back to "America bad regardless of what other countries do." It's like telling a Republican "curious you preach capitalism, but you accepted Trump's stimulus checks ."
