My grandfather smoked a pack of cigarettes a day and lived to be 100.

My cousin jumped off a bridge without a parachute and is still alive today.

My friend picked a fight with a grizzly bear and he's just fine.
See your logic makes zero sense. Lmao
Hopefully you don't drive your kids anywhere in a vehicle lol

Hahahahahaha it's probably a good idea you don't own a gun, and not for your kids sake, but everyone's.

Surprised you survive walking outside. All those are either damn near definite deaths or luck/genetics based. A gun is a simple don't pull the trigger and make sure nobody else around can get ahold of it. Ya know like having a safe or something, being smart enough to not play with them drunk etc.

Sorry, I don't feel insecure in my manhood enough to feel the need to own a gun.

I never went out of my way to get one. I inherited them

I own them but I don't carry them

Try harder

BTW I worked in a prison where I don't get to carry a gum. Walk a day in my shoes and talk about it. Outnumbered 134 to 2 and trust me they have their weapons I have pics to prove it

No, I have kids. Won't let them go to anyone's house if they own a gun and don't keep it locked in a safe, either. Only been a problem once. My oldest daughter missed out on a sleepover. Took her to see a movie instead.

Yeah I may own a lot but If I get into a convo with a gun nut I'm lost. I can only speak about what I own. Those guys can go on and on about guns.

I'm pretty sure that given my skin tone, the only thing carrying a gun on me would do is drastically increase the odds of me getting shot by the cops.

So you feel you are too irresponsible then? Someone responsible would have measures in place to make sure the kid doesn't get ahold of it. And if you can't trust your wife well your fucked cause she will use a kitchen knife while you are asleep if she must

There are levels of risk and responsibility. If I had a gun, Id only be comfortable knowing it wasnt loaded, the safety was on, and it was locked in a combination lock safe. I actually have problems leaving for work every day, having to quadruple check to make sure my door is locked even after I get in the car, unless I know my wife is home. Some sort of low level anxiety disorder.

Which would make it useless in any situation that I would actually need it. And since Im also prone to anxiety, I couldnt exactly trust myself to hold that thing steady enough to be effective either. Id have to go through some pretty regimented physical and psychological training just to be able to sleep at night knowing that thing is in my house. I mean, I go to sleep every night as it is making sure my oven is off.

You call that irresponsible? I call it knowing myself and weighing risk vs reward.

I know I put that face there for lols but Im happy to not have one and that guns are regulated to only certain people for jobs. I dont see myself ever wanting to own a gun for any reason personally

Its also not that hard to own one illegally in the UK, if thats what youre interested in.

That poster's only being a dick to another poster who was obnoxiously being a dick. Nobody needed to insert themselves into their rift and then start casting aspersions upon the one who's the "victim" in this scenario just because they're trying to make the instigator regret being a dick.

Real question, does British English just not use z's for literally anything? I've never seen fetishize spelt like that before.

Yes, and I virtually never expect them to leave the house.
Used to go to the range with my dad. When he passed, I'm pretty sure I'm not going back anytime in the near future at least. They're complete last resort defenses at home and (knock on wood) it still seems unlikely that kind of trouble will ever come around.

OK I'll take knowing yourself. That's fair

But I know myself too. I have slept with a gun in reaching distance for over a decade. It's fully loaded. No incidents.

And despite what others say it's nothing with manhood. I have gone places and had to sleep elsewhere without it and it's fine doesn't bother me. I recently took a vacation to Detroit of all places and didn't bring a gun.

I will say if you must do all that... keep it unloaded safety on etc a gun is useless unless it's purely for target shooting. (Do keep thr safety on though that takes a fraction of a second to disengage) i keep one gun out the rest in a safe. But I just tested it. Takes me about 2 seconds to get into my safe since the code is basically muscle memory.

Not trying to talk you into it or anything cause to each their own.

Oh for those who do have a safe like the one I got make sure you keep the batteries in the keypad fresh. Recently ran into a problem where it would sometimes open sometimes not. Batteries where dying. First time I had to change them. Can be easy to forget took many years for those suckers to start dying
