Feels like a mix of a CW show and the dramatizations in History Channel shows. It's almost impressive how bad it looks. There's Shark Boy and Lava Girl levels of bad visuals here smh

I just want to see the final battle in season 3 in live action but it seems like it's never going to happen if they keep stopping at book 1

Tbh not sure if this show will make it to season 3 lol but if they do I really hope they choose to shoot on location cuz you can see the seam where the Volume meets the floor in every scene. Real amateur filmmaking.

i was noticing an astigmatism effect with certain lights in the blurred backgrounds w/ HDR ON. I thought maybe it was just my TV's local dimming not being able to show it properly (older VA TV from 2019) but then i rewatched it on the LG OLED downstairs and it was doing the same thing. This bothers me a bit tbh

It really does look like a show that has the budget to do what they want but lack the skill to do so. It's expensively cheap.

I've only seen the first episode but everything feels so small due to how they shot everything with the LED screen. The actors have like 6 to 10 ft of space they can move around in every shot.

The characters for the most part don't move at all. Everything is so static and bland.

I noticed all the costumes look extremely clean. Everything just seems way too clean.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

It's for crowd that don't like watching Cartoon/Anime and introduce the series to people haven't watch it.

Depsite how big One Piece, there is still people haven't read or watch the series literally because it's a cartoon.

It's got that weird Soap Opera effect that I can't describe with words but is incredibly off-putting.

That seems like a limited market. I'd say it's live action just because a live action series hasn't been done yet, and seems "bigger".

The special effects look good in a vacuum, but they're so rarely synced with character movements, it's a shame.

People are too insecure to watch something animated so theyll gladly watch an inferior adaptation instead

Until the growth of Video games. Movies and Live Action tv shows are highest grossing revenue media in the US. So there is quite few demographic that dont watch anything else .

The other reason is that its free money for Publishers. Movies and Tv show studios buy the film and tv show rights license. The publishers get paid for it. Its completely safe for Publishers to do this.

Marvel sell movie rights in the 90s to save their company from bankruptcy. Thats long before the concept of MCU.

The live action show feels more like a children's show than the cartoon ever did tbh.

IIRC soap operas film at 60fps on digital cameras while films and television are around 24fps.

Soaps use 30 fps and zooms which is why they look the way they do. A lot of studio sitcoms also use 30 fps and zooms.

I think a major problem in this show is a mix of the LED wall, poor lighting and set/costume design.
