Rage 2.

There was a guy with a face and I think he shot some people I know, so that was uncool and I eventually shot him back.

That's everything I remember about the game.

I played and beat all 3 of the Mass Effect games right when they came out and cannot tell you a single thing about them.

Syphon filter 2, was Gabe even in that?

I think I beat Bionic Commando on the NES.

ive played through the ps and pixel remaster of FF 2 and all I remember is fighting a bunch of turtle variants at the ends of caves.

I remember the Peach scene making the cake for the fat shyguy but I can't tell you anything about where Mario went or the ending.

Id say its even odds Ive either beat that or never played it. All I remember about the first one is a stealth like level where you have to headshot raze some baddies as soon as they appear at the edge of vision. Also member fear effect?

I'm really bad at finishing games so the memories of the beaten ones are all intact.

Not that its a bad game whatsoever, it isnt. But I realize now that I recall certain aspects of 1, and definitely certain things from Demons Crest.

But nope, Im drawing a blank on anything in 2.

Its been at least 20 years since I beat it though, so that certainly doesnt help.

I just remember that beach boss fight because it was the only time in the game that I was having fun lol

It's possible to not Remermber the content but remember the name.

Done it several times watching a movie drunk. Had to watch the Harley Quinn birds of prey movie twice cause of that. And guess what I still don't remember hardly a thing.

I cant seem to remember much of Beyond Good and Evil but I know I loved it.

Fair enough.

What's maddening to me is there is a game I clearly sorta remember. I remember the games gimmick I vaguely remember the cover art. But can't remember anything else name included.

All I can say is you played a shipwrecked pirate or sailor and end up with a magical ability to turn into this skeleton wearing a top hat with magical abilities.

I was actually thinking about this the other day when I was combing my backlog to make a definitive list.

Alpha Protocol
Mass Effect 2 (I remember 1 and 3)
Fear 3
Metro Last Light
Hollow Knight

These were my standout top 5 that I could barely remember a single detail about them and played each one to the credits, and most of those games I clocked like 30-40 hours into with the exception of Fear 3 which I apparently beat in seven hours.

I know I beat it but I don't remember shit about Metroid prime.

Tomb Raider Chronicles. I can vaguely remember a Roman level with Larson and Pierre, but I probably only remember that because those two are in the first game.

Just the first one for me, but pretty much same. I remember laser rifles and a little buggy thing. Other than that, I just think of the "We'll bang, okay?" meme when I think of those games.

Grand Theft Auto 4

This for me also, other than I remember being disappointed in it really lacking on the humor. I had Saints Row around the same time and played it a lot more because it reminded me of the more silly elements of the previous GTA games.

Wait, I have an answer now.

The PS2 Shinobi. I played that and don't remember a single thing about it other than it being very hard. And dogs with swords in their mouths.

Tomb Raider 4. My only memory was jumping back and forth in the desert shooting scorpions

Orwell. I started a file a few months back and remembered very little about that game.

Tales of Vespira. I know I beat it, but I couldnt tell you anything about it or name any of the characters.

Valkyria Chronicles

Your home village gets invaded and then you join the army. I platinumed it too and still don't remember anything beyond that in terms of story/characters. I remember a bit about the combat and know that one class becomes busted and made the game really easy.

Enchanted Arms.

Absolutely zero memory of it.

Way too many, and it's less to do with the quality of the games, and more to do with my shite memory. There's easily a couple dozen from the nes that I've forgotten I've even played, let alone beat. Hell, I had to go through a boxart list to even remember half of the ones I have listed here.

Nes:

• Bayou Billy: You are a guy with a knife, and there's some crocodiles.
• Disney's kingdom. I only vaguely remember 2 levels; A spooky 2d platforming area, and an outerspace ride, where you had to memorize when to choose the left or right path.
• MC Kids: You could high-five the character at the menu to change characters. That's it.
• Ninja Gaiden: You could wall-cling, and there was a train section. If that was the original, or one of the sequels, I couldn't even tell you that.
• Roger Rabbit: I remember often falling into holes with snakes, but nothing else.
• Snake's Revenge. I think there were a lot of tanks to crawl under, and some keycards, but that's it
• Startropics: A yoyo weapon, and a puzzle involving a piano are all that I can remember. The sad thing is, I do know that I really loved this game.
• Startropics 2: I remember even less about the sequel. I can picture one portion of the overworld with a mountain, but even that is hazy.
• Tiny Toons: I remember a roller coaster level, and that's it
• Zelda II: I only remember the random encounters for going in grass.

Even more recently (since 2010/the introduction of trophies), my memory doesn't fair that much better;

• Bastion: I hate that I can't remember anything about this one, because I know I loved it. I only recall that it has a narrator that talks throughout the entire game. I do have one of the songs on my regular playlist though, so there is that.
• Dragon's Crown: I know I played as the archer, but nothing else.
• Dust: An Elysian Tale. There is a freeza-looking boss at the start, and it's a metroidvania. Can't remember the story, or even what abilities you get.
• Dyscourse: So, according to Steam, not only did I beat this game, I got 100% achievements in it. I'm not calling Steam a liar, but I have 0 memory of this one. The art looks familiar, but that is the extent of my memory
• Kirby's Epic Yarn: You are yarn. Yea, that's all I got
• Mini Ninjas. I literally recorded a youtube series on this game, and I couldn't tell you what happened. There might have been a level where you had to escape an avalanche?
• All of the Prince of Persia games. I know most of them were supposed to be connected in some way, but I can't remember anything about them. At best, one of the games had a "hub" like area that a bunch of puzzles branched off of, and then lead back to.
• Stories of Bethem: I know I enjoyed it. In fact, I remember constantly recommending it to people looking for zelda-likes in the CE Summer/winter events. But I just don't remember a single thing about it anymore.
• Valdis Story: I remember that it is a metroidvania, and that's it. There might be a subway somewhere in it?
• Yonder: The Cloud Catcher. I know I got a platinum in it, and I remember being frustrated at the grind to do so, but I don't remember what I was trying to farm/catch to achieve it.

There are plenty of others too, but at least with most of them, I can vaguely recall a final boss/encounter.

Assassins Creed Syndicate is the most recent one. London was pretty I guess, but I dont remember much about the twins, and at no point in that game did I ever know who the villain was and why I was fighting him.

And for the life of me, I cant remember anything about any of the Mortal Kombat games between MK 3 and MK9. Shaolin Monks, Deception, none of them. I beat them all, but couldnt tell you what happened or why.

Also - the Splinter Cells games. Theres a russian president in one, and theres another where you go to Jerusalem, but the hell if no what Sam Fisher was up to.

Assassins Creed: Revelations

Definitely the worst of the Ezio trilogy. I didn't like that it went back to the drab city from the first game, now with an orange, smoggy filter over it. Only thing I remember is a mission where you beat up minstrels to steal their outfits. And some underground city you set on fire, which is where I took a months-long break, since I was burnt out from playing the previous two immediately beforehand.

I also thought it was unnecessary. By this point, Ezio had accomplished his two biggest goals: Avenging his family and restoring the assassin brotherhood, and he had become extremely wealthy along the way. At that point, it's time to retire.

Grandia 3

I only remember MCs mom is a party member for a while and she's quite strong. Can't even remember MCs name and the plot.

That one fantasy game where you go to a colonial settlement on a continent and you can have like magic and guns and stuff.

I genuinely can't think of the name of the game or even give you much more a description of it.

Halo. I beat the first 3 and know nothing about the story.

I don't know if there's a game out there I've played and don't remember anything about it. I usually remember at least bits and pieces of at least the gameplay. The games I don't remember a thing about them playing, odds are, I likely also don't remember playing the game at all. Unless I see a clip of the game that jogs my memory.

So I played Sonic Rush and I remember repeatedly jumping off a bend to my death at one point and then giving up on the game. But then a couple months ago I started up the game again to find that I had apparently beaten it, which I don't remember doing at all. Not sure if it was just a freak malfunction of the game card or the hardware or if I actually went back and finished it at some point and completely forgot.
