And yeah, it's lopsided to the point of being pretty blatant. Hence why my comments were so harsh, the more you know about it the worse the comparison gets. Good on you for being willing to change on that front.

I mean, I'd hope its a case of "you just don't get it". Late term abortions are pretty much exclusively gotten by mothers who are forced into it because not getting one poses a serious health risk.

If your general stance is your body your choice, medically necessary abortions should allign perfectly with your values.

You're trying to twist my words. I don't think abortion should "be used and encouraged in late term pregnancy as birth control." That doesn't mean that I don't support abortion being freely available.

Same as aborting in the examples of rape, incest or medical wellbeing of the mother. They're late term abortions also..but one is supported by Tenlaar and one isnt.

I agree with him, but he feels I'm against women having an abortion ever, so I'm clearing things up for him.

Women's most important right is bodily autonomy under any circumstance ever? I think you can't square extreme circumstances with reasonable ones, thinking all circumstances are the same. That's why you conflate not supporting every abortion as being taking away womens bodily autonomy in the worst way possible.

I don't think late term abortions should be used as birth control. I think birth control should be used as birth control, and if birth control fails or isn't used then early term abortions should be available. Women should not wait eight months and put their bodies through what pregnancy does before having an abortion for an unwanted pregnancy, and why would they?

Doctors are banned from doing abortions if the woman is corerced into it, or in the case of sex selective abortion in some states. Does that lead to a higher death rate amongst women in pregnancy? If it does then I can understand where you're coming from.

No, because late term abortions shouldn't be automatically banned. Why if the mothers life is in danger, do you need to delay the procedure and get federal approval? That's a huge problem with the process. That's taking abortion out of the woman and doctor's hands.
