My wife went to a private Christian school until high school and they only taught young earth, no evolution bs
Can confirm. I went to public school most of my life, but for middle school I went to a Christian private school. It was full of young earth creationism bullshit too. Their math program also sucked. Those were honestly some of my most miserable years.

"Having faith" means looking at the bullshit and concluding, "sounds good to me, dawg".

No it doesnt. It means continuing to believe despite things like self-questioning, peer pressure, and insults like this post or the one you quoted that is basically arguing that religious beliefs are wrong no matter what.

I dont understand the need for some people feel the need to insult religious beliefs. Why cant we all just agree that fundamentalist beliefs are wrong and bad for society?

This is some next level denial. Even growing up in a Christian Mississippi family I didn't have to suffer this. I don't know, maybe I was lucky and dodged that bullet as there were some I did know that didn't allow TVs in their house and others calling Disney/Harry Potter the devil. Though now I'm starting to see other relatives starting families with similiar approaches.

At least you telling them to actually think for themselves and not blindly accept everything as fact, is far better than what my one niece told my other one...

Actually straight up taught her to actively rebel and disobey her parents, pop out a bunch of kids unmarried, and almost die quite a number of times resulting in lost of custody and health issues. She was totally fine until then, like one of those before/after meth addict mugshots. Great role model.
