People always enjoy seeing dangerous animals up close in captivity at a regular zoo. So wouldn't it be cool to have a weather zoo, where you can see things like tornados and volcanos in captivity? There could also be areas where you walk through safer weather conditions and can interact with them, like maybe a snowstorm, which is similar to how you can walk around and touch goats and kangaroos in some zoos.

It's not impossible, but it would be so hideously expensive as to not be at all feasible. Weather carries a ton of energy, which means it would take a similar ton of energy to emulate it. Given that the more novel weather would be an experience not unlike watching a storm or volcano on TV (watching a sealed room from the safety of a viewing spot) and the more mundane stuff isn't that hard to just experience yourself with a bit of travel, I don't think there'd ever be enough demand to justify the cost.

Yeah; itd be just too prohibitively expensiveand expansiveto become a reality.

Id go visit such a thing if the price was right though, but probably just once.

There was some ripleys style museum in Orlando I think it was called wonderworks. They had a room that had different levels of wind from like tropical storm to hurricane force. For volcanoes and the arctic tundra you probably have a microwave and hot pockets at home.

But vr is probably the next best thing.

Universal Studios in Orlando used to have a Twister ride based on the movie. It didn't quite pack the same punch as a real tornado, but it was a cool experience nevertheless.
