The House on Tuesday is expected to vote for a second time in a week to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas after Republican leaders suffered an embarrassing defeat in their first effort.

Reminder: They're impeaching him for not securing the border.

Reminder: Last week they voted down a bipartisan border security bill, openly admitting they did so because they didn't want Biden to score a political win in an election year.

Dems didn't just impeach Trump from nowhere, they had a multi week trial leading up to it.

Hearing then, whatever. Trump had weeks of hearings with his crimes being thoroughly investigated, before it was sent to the Senate.

They don't just impeach, they need an investigation first. There's been no investigation.

both Trump impeachments were launched when the House of Representatives was majority held by Democrats, so you can see why they would go through the proper procedures compared to now with a Republican majority in the House

I live in a state far away from the border so whatever happens isn't likely to impact me, however I remember Fox News was calling it a border crisis less than a week into Biden's presidency when obviously there was no crisis under Trump(according to right wing media).

I do wish the border would stop being exploited(like children) for political gain. Is there a border crisis or not? I don't know, but if Trump wins in November, there...I guess suddenly won't be?

I think the Senate has to have a vote on the impeachment. The trial can be dealt with in 5 minutes, since Republicans have no evidence. IMO Schumer should dispose of this clown show tomorrow.
