Roaches are a lot more common than most people think, even in relatively clean places.

Thankfully I have apparently never lived in an area that has roaches. I have never actually seen a real life roach. I only know them from pictures

A lot of bugs California peeps claim are water bugs.... majority are cockroaches. Same with Florida labeling them Palmetto bugs, most are cockroaches

They come in from outside sometimes, but I don't think 50% of households just have them constantly.

I think it's more like, if you see one, you have hundreds.

My cousin moved to Sacramento for work and had to move out of her first apartment because of the cockroaches. She said they're all over the place outside too and you tend to see them pretty often when you're walking around.

Roaches are pretty common. Thankfully in recent years, the fumigation has been more effective in my complex.

Never seen a mouse though thank god

There is an old saying.

There are two kinds of homes, ones that have cockroaches, and ones that dont yet know they have cockroaches.

Yeah, I learned that the hard way. When I found my first apartment, there was 1 single roach crawling on the wall when the property management gave me the tour. Told me they'd take care of that before we moved in. Come to find out, there were hundreds living in the walls and they got into a bunch of our electronics (apparently they like the warmth inside electronics). It took me months to kill them all. Never taking that "oh it's just 1" lightly again.
