You can bypass twitch's 30s cooldown on posting the same message twice in a row either with a browser extension, or simply by typing it in a different way (using a capital letter for instance)

First run died to Agatha, partially because I successfully managed to make Onix explode into another Onix

This is why Missingno was a stupid idea. It dies with one hit and people are too afraid to go to the PC to get something else so we're essentially doing the E4 with five Pokemon.

What do you hate fun? Missingno can also take out other mons in one hit, and we're pretty much guaranteed to beat E4 at some point today regardless, AND it's great they even caught it in this format.

Also, dual-wielding Gold & Silver, huh? This is a bit much.

One remarkable thing from the dual wielding: There was a trade quite early. The Gold team didn't want Chikorita so they traded her over to Silver (where she's since evolved into Baeleef) in exchange for a Geodude.

Silver, which was probably an hour behind Gold just this afternoon, is considerably ahead of them now.

Yeah I popped in just in time to see Gold get the Hive Badge while it looks like Silver is in Goldenrod

I managed to watch that traded Geodude completely fumble the ball against Bugsy, lol. Didn't follow a single command and then got killed by progressive Fury Cutters.

All these years later Miltank is still a horrorshow

I played through Gen 2 for the first time like a month and a half ago and beat Whitney no problem on the first try. Mortys level 25 Gengar with Shadow Ball when your team is probably still largely unevolved and rocking 50-60 BP moves at best swept my entire team though

Yeah, Morty's difficulty is largely understated due to how infamous Whitney's Miltank is but the truth is the average, casual player is going to be better equipped to handle Whitney's Miltank than Morty's Gengar at their respective points in the game.

I'm surprised Gengar's shadow ball is that much of a threat since in gen 2 it would've still been going off Gengar's attack stat instead of special attack.

Actually I just looked it up, Miltank has 80 attack and Stomp has 65 BP, while Gengar has 65 attack and Shadow Ball has 80 BP. I'm not too familiar with damage calculation, but it seems to me like they should be doing similar amounts of damage when accounting for level? Just a neat thing I noticed.

Also, normal types are immune to ghost. One of my friends beat Morty's Gengar with Togepi.

That reminds me, someone made a video pitting all the major trainers against each other, and Morty got totally walled by B2W2 Cheren's Lillipup because it was a normal type with vital spirit, so Gengar couldn't hurt it at all

You're much more likely to have a good counter to ghost than normal, and Gengar is much more fragile too.
