yeah esp. like airline flights. Many times huge hassle, maybe driving...

for how most people travel/vacation? fuck no. shit is hell for me. hate sight seeing. hate museums, etc. hate tours. hate people really.

i used to like to travel to party when i was young. cali, florida, tokyo, etc. but im too old and i dont care about having sex anymore

This is where I'm at. As a kid vacationing always had an end goal or a result in mind We didn't go on a vacation just to go on a vacation. We went because mom had to do something or wanted to go see friends across the country. Even then, it was very rarely in hotel rooms. We had a pop tent pulled behind our car.

I don't particularly like going to places on a vacation. I have more fun just staying home and doing whatever I want. I'll go on trips every now and then, though, since it makes others happy, and it can be interesting going to a new place.

do you really hate flying as well?

I don't like dealing with the stresses of budgeting and setting up travel details, so I never travel. Only way it'd be worth it for me is if I was wealthy enough that that part of the stress was removed.

Sure. Money is an issue for a lot of people. It is possible to travel on a tight budget though.

Maybe I'm the weird one who likes traveling, likes flying, and likes planning the trip.

I'm planning a solo Japan trip next month. All I did was buy the plane ticket, got the hotels, and now I'm just planning a general outline of things I want to do while there. It's fun looking up all the stuff in the area and pinning them on Google maps. Everyday I find something new to see, but I'm being careful not to over plan and am willing to scrap some stuff if needed.

Going solo is easier since I don't have to worry about anyone else. I can go where ever I want to go whenever I want to go. Fortunately I also have no concern about money, I can see it getting bad for people who have to work in a budget though, that can be stressful.

Dunno, never had the chance to try it.

Vacations can be horrible depending on how they're planned or with who you go. It's daunting, expensive, and cumbersome to plan and coordinate, so the obstacles are always unpleasant. My recent travels have been pretty successful though *knock on wood* so I'm feeling positive about the subject. I despite airports and the flying industry, though, so that's always a fucking gauntlet.
