I think it's just in title only. To tie it back to blood and sand. So far, they're saying this new one is just a "what if" scenario. Plenty of time for them to change that though.

I always laugh whenever my non GoT fan friends start singing the South Park "Wiener Wiener" song. It's clear both them and Parker & Stone have never watched a single episode of Spartacus if they think GoT is the show with dick flopping everywhere. There's maybe 5 dicks shown throughout GoT's run, Spartacus seemingly needs to fulfil a full frontal nudity quota for both genders every scene.

Gonna do a rewatch but with the commentary this time. Although not usually a fan of shows with recasting. I get that the man died and all rip but they also recasted at least one other role from what I remember. I dunno why that bothers me so much.
