work from home greatly increased during the pandemic and most employers reportedly really want that cut down a whole lot but many workers are resisting

Most of my office is still work from home, but I feel better getting out of the house and having a better work/life separation so I go into the office most of the time.

yeah but if you work in like nyc ,manhattan. I totally get why they would want to work from home every day. Look at their commute

DC, 45 minutes between public transit and walking on a good day.

And I totally get it, for other people they might have family reasons to stay at home, worse commutes than that, or just don't like the office. I like having the choice of going into the office or not and hope that my colleagues continue to have the choice to do what suits them best. Upper management is talking big about dragging people in though, so that's a shame.

Mostly from home. I'm required to go in to the office at least one day a month but otherwise they're fine with me working from home.

For my office, I don't think the status quo of not coming into the office at all will stand. Probably three days a week for the foreseeable future.

As for more broadly, for workers who have been remote I think they will be expected to go into the office more, and that trend will accelerate and return to being in the office full time when the next recession hits and employers get the upper hand in labor negotiations.

Fully remote since COVID. My employer no longer leases office space. My wife is in-office 3 days, and teleworking 2 days. I used to love going to the office, but now that my kid is old enough to be in school, it would be really hard, anyway.

I'd be willing to go in to the office one day a week on average. If my employer made me do any more than that I'd be looking for another job.
