Out of game boards I frequent, CE seems to be the one that talks about JRPG's more than not. This game is 7 years in the making and I'm seeing no hype for it.

I want to play it but waiting until the April free update that adds more characters. Should be cheaper by then too.

You're a smarter person than me. I bought it day 1 so I can play with friends online. I don't really care about the universe, but the demo was fairly decent and up my alley.

Have it all ready and downloaded, but dealing with too much bullshit irl right now to really sink into it.

Same here, I was just expecting more people to talk about it here.

Because it released in the same week as Like a Dragon which is more popular.

I didn't even know it finally released!

Will check reviews later. Was initially hyped for a medieval fantasy game w/ Platinum Games style combat, but then P+ got dropped like halfway thru development w/ the claim their work was already done, which sounded like bull shit. And I lost most of my interest.

It got sandwiched between Yakuza 8 and Persona 3. I'm personally waiting to finish both of those before even looking at Granblue.

I'm waiting for a price drop before I buy. There's too much coming out in Q1 2024, and from what I played of Relink, I don't expext the story to be stellar. It also feels way too easy from the demo I played.

I played the demo and that dragon mascot thing ruined it for me. Its more annoying than Paimon.

I like it a lot actually....the game feels good to control and the art style is nice. I had the physical deluxe edition pre-ordered so I am going to go pick that up in a little bit.

Was trying to give the online play a go in the demo in the first easy mission but the matchmaking is coming up with a whole lot of nothin'

Been no lifing it since the early access released and am right at he final boss.

I've enjoyed it, although I've also heard the game gets a lot better after the main story so I'm looking forward to that.

I'm never too bothered about anime style games outside of persona because I know persona is good quality. The rest are kind of average so they seem to be made only for their fans.

If there's another great 9/10 worthy anime game then please point me the way so I can check it out.

Yes, that's for the fighting game, Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising. This is for the ARPG.

I don't know a damn thing about granblue but I came out of this demo genuinely surprised.

This game was one that I followed for years back when platinum games was on board with the battle system, but I was under the impression it was going to be a standard jrpg. I didn't think there would be this monster hunter-like quest system in place for multiplayer, so after going through the 3 quests in the demo I look forward to playing the actual game now.

I tried the chick with the spear and the one with the katana so far. The spear lady kind of gives me aggressive lance from monster hunter vibes with her counter and timed button presses thing so I'm going to use her more in the actual game.

So is it a gacha to get some characters or it's all unlock them by doing quests or whatnot? I watched some of a 20+ min video by Arekkz and he mentioned getting characters during the story but mentioned other optional characters

Besides the ones you start with, there's a story unlockable character and the others you unlock with an item you get either from story/quests and trading to an NPC. You choose the char, no gacha.
