? I got the Pixel 4A and it's still going pretty well but I wanted to upgrade to any Pixel 7 or 8 but I heard battery life sucks for both of them. I've been an Android guy since like iphone S5 or 4 or 5s whatever it was when I switched to the superior brand to Samsung but I'm thinking about switching to iphone cause I need a new phone and a new phone with good battery life. Can the iphone download pics and vids like Android can on sites like reddit? What disadvantages is there going back to iphone?

Of course.

But I suggest staying with Samsung, and using Greenify apps.

I have pixel 7a and battery is indeed ass. Have to charge every afternoon to keep it alive The rest of the day.

From what I've heard the latest iphone has some issues with wifi and overheating.

Maybe ill get the 7/7pro/7a or 8/8pro and get those portable battery charging thingy to solve the battery problem. Once i go google i cant go back

can you actually quantify what makes your shit battery yet superior android better than an iphone?

cuz if not then maybe just get an iphone.

Maybe someday we'll get a phone as good as the Note 20 Ultra

They also charge substantially more for their logo.

I have a Pixel 8 Pro and the battery life is just fine from my experience.

Pixel 7 Pro's battery life has been holding up very well ever since the Android 14 update dropped.

i heard the latest iphones new M1 or M-something chip overheats. i havent heard anything more than that.

i have an iphone 13 pro, i might wait until the 16 to upgrade.

Look into the OnePlus 11. Battery lasts over 2 days and can charge from 0 to 100 in around 25 minutes.

I will but why arent ppl freaking out that theyre a Chinese company? the phone got a lot of bloat apps or is it like the pixels where they dont have that junk?

It's true that a lot of people don't give OnePlus as hard a time as say Huawei but perhaps it's due to the fact that they're not as intrusive. I have an older OP phone and it came with zero bloatware and I'm assuming that the 11 is the same.

Alternatively, while it doesn't have the fast charging like OP11 (but charges faster than a Pixel), the Nothing Phone 2 has a decent battery that'll last over a day and I really like the design, even if it is a bit gimmicky. It's also a British company instead of a Chinese one. Again, no bloatware.

I've had the 7 Pro since launch up until two Saturdays ago when I got it smashed.

I recently got a Pixel 8 Pro.

7 Pro's battery is okay, but it's not as good as Samsung S22 or Iphone 14. I believe the average battery life was around 8 hours during tests. I was disappointed, but it was serviceable. Pixel 8 Pro's battery life though is about 20-25% better, notably if its at 60hz vs 7 Pro at 60Hz. So 10 hours. I've used it for 2 days, and it is indeed better.

Although there's a $100 price difference between 7 and 8, I would get the 8 for sure. Not just for the improved battery life, slightly better camera, an AI stuff, but also because google said they would support it for 7 years, vs's 7's 4 years.

Google phones have that issue too.

The Galaxy S23 series has excellent battery life.

Why do all these expensive phones have such crappy battery life? I'm running a Motorolla G Power and I don't even think about battery life. If I let it drain to zero, I can easily get 3 or 4 days out of it with moderate to light use.
