Dragon Ball sucks, but Sand Land is probably Toriyama's best work. Not that it's actually any good, but he's better at writing short stories than long ones.

According to the article, it was made into a movie and released in Japan a few months ago: The SAND LAND animemovie, which was released in Japan in August, will be available worldwide in Spring 2024 on Disney+, Under the title SAND LAND: THE SERIES! Disney plus Japan so Hulu in the US. Not really that weird they have picked up a couple titles for their streaming service in the past like Summertime Rendering and the Bleach continuation.
