The best way to put it is that if you made a "Worst 10 business decisions ever" list and actually put the time and effort into caring about it being accurate at least 9 of the 10, and I'm talking the *top* 9, would be PARC related. Like, the stuff that they flubbed has value that wouldn't even make sense in today's currency. What exactly would you put the price on stuff like the mouse, GUI, or much of the architecture that makes the current Internet viable? Now imagine the arguably most trademark-centric company, Xerox, having a trademark over them. How much money would they make in today's economy of royalties?

Both companies mentioned have become the namesake of their products, but can't be considered the leaders.
