-The Bazooka line is in, but the Bruce Lee line is gone RIP
-Beating the extra bosses gets you better weapons for your party than what was in the SNES version
-Geno Whirl still works on Exor
-Blackjack is gone from Grate Guy's Casino. Now it's a "Memory Game" >_> Slots is still there though
-Neosquid name is changed to something but I didn't hear what RIP
-Link, Samus, and F-Zero easter eggs are still in

-The new super boss that the trailers hinted at is Culex but with a 3D model lol

Spoilers came out 27 years ago for that game

Buying it day one, don't give a fuck about spoilers, already contender for GOTY for me.

Edit: No Neosquid?! Deleting pre-order, game is 0/10

Overall it seems like the script has an even mix of original lines, retranslated lines, and completely new lines from what I've heard

Also our biggest fears have seemed to be realized

the game is still piss easy and the new "hard" bosses aren't even that hard >_>

That's fine. Game was always a fun 15 hour romp.

Yeah, it's still the greatest game of all time. I just wish it was a little harder sometimes though >_>

Got it pre ordered. Still wish they included a hard mode instead of easy. Like why can't they do both?

I get that. But after doing a lot of Soulsborne games and the like, doing something easy just sounds so much more enjoyable right now. Still a Day One purchase just for the fun characters and gameplay.

The superboss spoiler sounds disappointing. Maybe if they go really crazy with it, it could end up being kinda cool.

Why can't every jrpg just come with a standard easy, normal hard mode selection? Why is that so difficult to add in? And I do agree that probably the vast majority of gamers would have rather had hard mode than easy

Maybe the timing is easier on breeze mode.

Sometimes I wish I could play these leaked games myself, but I'm too much of a goody two-shoes who's afraid of Nintendo banning me.

Plenty of JRPGs do. Falcom games come with like 5 settings

Nintendo games just flat out do not

The OST makes this a day-1. Wow.

The OST is pretty good from what I've listened to.

What about the name for the Axem Rangers? If not kept, do they use the term Sentai or the translated Task Force?

In most cases I'd say most gamers would rather have easy, but in this case I agree. Super Mario RPG isn't a particularly hard game, even for someone new to RPGs. I'd even go so far as to say the default difficulty was already the perfect difficulty to ease someone into the genre of turn based rpgs.

I would've loved to see a hard mode in several JRPGs. Final Fantasy X in particular; I mean sure, there's challenge runs, but that isn't quite the same as having enemies prepared to deal with the full arsenal* of what you can throw at them.
