This game is *chefs kiss* fantastic. Its like Paper Mario but more so. Im in chapter 4, did the bandit hideout, rank 14, hard mode. I have not taken the hard mode medal off yet, and Im really enjoying playing it like this. Bosses are challenging and make me have to strategize. Its a good time, I recommend it. Just played for like 5 hours and I want to keep playing.

I loved it, I also played it on Hard Mode and got the platinum trophy for it. I found the beginning chapters to be the toughest, then they mellow out a bit in the middle unless you take on some of the bonus bosses early

I've had it for a while, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

Yeah I think the boss of Chapter 2 is the toughest Ive faced yet. Nothing in Chapters 3 or 4 have been as challenging.

I remember someone on this site (and on this very board) mentioning it a while back. Maybe a couple years ago So, I got it back then. It was actually pretty fun. I didnt get far, though Ive been meaning to get back into it

I played all the way through on hard mode as well! Very challenging and rewarding experience and I appreciated all the exclusive badges you got for beating any boss on hard.

Would NEVER play on hard again tho lol. If I ever do replay, itll be on normal even though those badges are enticing

Yeah I struggled with the chapter 2 and 3 bosses, and the bandit boss in chapter 4

I was just exploring peacefully and minding my business on the Golden Path and accidentally wandered into that boss and was promptly demolished :( once I heard new battle music I knew it was a wrap

Completed Chapter 4. I like to complete side quests as I get them so Im still early chapter 5. Came across the Seedling King by accident and tried it a few times. Its tough. Might need a couple more levels before I try it again
Edit: oh theres also a respec NPC later, right? I feel like I should take a few points out of HP and redistribute them to the other stats.

Yes I believe they show up in chapter 6

Finished chapter 5. Im rank 23 I believe. I killed the Seedling King, Devourer, and Tidal Wyrm bosses :D

I beat it! I loved this game. Gonna try to 100% it before Super Mario RPG comes out.

Picked up this game because of this topic. I just started chapter 4 and hard mode...is definitely harder than I was expecting.

Been seeing Sarc playing on PSN and it piques my interest might check it out some time. Kinda in a game funk rn I got a huge pile of unfinished games but can't focus long enough to finish them

Not sure if it's still on sale, but I picked it up for pretty cheap like a week ago.

A word of caution, though: there are bugs in this game.

It's probably my favorite game to come out in recent memory. I've got the collector's edition and I don't think I have ever done that for a game before. It's so cute and the writing is great. Beautiful environments and fun gameplay too

Good game. I played it near release. (No hard mode.) It's not Paper Mario. But it's a good clone of the formula with some nice variations. And a decent replacement of the real thing until if/when we ever get a true sequel.
