He loved it, I was bored out of my mind. I think this is another Mario movie scenario where if you're a fan of the games you will love all the easter eggs the movie throws at you, but for non-fans it delivers almost nothing. Except the majority of this movie isn't even about the game, but about Josh Hutcherson's character and him going through the same dream over and over again (shown in almost the same way) and the pay off isn't even that great. The best character is whoever played as his sister in the movie, hilariously enough. Matthew Lillard is also in this movie, but I thought he tried way too hard to be weird and funny and it just came off as dull, but he was my nephews favorite character (apparently the character Lillard plays as is a very important character in the lore).

If you are a fan of FNAF, you'll probably love it otherwise just skip it all together. 2/10 for me, it's that bad.

Found it hilarious how MC gets a 'big win' in the resolution by maintaining custody of his sister after his aunt who was in the custody battle against him is straight up killed under mysterious circumstances in his own living room and that is no problem at all for him lmao

move all remaining groundhog mercenaries to the front lines. Have sheep troopers squadrons A and B flank the cows. They're using DC-17 hoof blasters.

Yeah the movie tries to justify this by making the Aunt an asshole that just wants the sister for the money. But it really goes to show just how much the script and writers actually gave a shit about this movie lol.

definitely some 'this is for kids so don't worry about' care in the writing.

I went in expecting to be awful and I thought it was going to be a great time.

Turns out it's just mediocre and I'm left flaccid with plenty to whine about but nothing relish.

I had more fun with that movie than this one, though it's still a bad movie. Nick Cage and the creative kills already make it higher than FNAF, though to be fair it is a rated R movie so they can get away with more stuff. FNAF PG-13 rating, I feel, hampered on what they can and can't do.

I'm a big fan of the four numbered games, I'm 23, and I thought the movie was really disappointing. Its construction and writing were amateurish and it was probably held back by the PG-13 rating which precluded the sorts of disturbing imagery affecting children that some of the games get away with thanks to some of the artstyles used.

You knew neither of the siblings were gonna die which also didn't help. It has too much the vibe of a family movie IMO. Like they were worried about making parents mad with this movie (and like, I get it because there probably were kids who wanted to come see this, IDK, it's a tough situation to work with).

William Afton had too little screen time and his dialogue suuuuucked. Maybe some of those lines were from the books, but it was corny as hell for him to talk about "symmetry" and shit like they just really needed him to say something that a cartoon evil mastermind says to make up for his lack of screen time and drive home his bad-ness.

Also in the lore of the numbered games, Afton didn't have an evil spiritual influence on the ghosts of the kids. He actually personally disassembled the animatronics himself at the end of everything, only to die because the aged spring locks in the rabbit suit fail with moisture, and the room he dumped the destroyed animatronics in had a leak.

It didn't need to go exactly that way because that's shown in a way unique to videogame storytelling that makes it satisfying there but maybe not so interesting as a movie. But the fact in the movie he basically just dies because he was shot LOL and the girl had to make a drawing of him being bad was super corny.

Like, Afton doesn't put on the rabbit suit to become a "Evil Robot Jeff Bridges" to beat up a protagonist. He puts it on to protect himself from the animatronics because they'll kill someone in plainclothes. I guess that's a little similar to the movie but it doesn't give him control of them and in fact he doesn't want that.

Again, not everything needs to be just like the game, but when a change is made, it should be to the benefit of the script, and I thought this script was lame.

Writers can try to chase it all they want, but they'll never achieve the children's villain monologue high that is Steve Buscemi in Spy Kids 2:

It is also pretty odd how the 'camera watching' really only comes up in the single scene where he sees them put cupcake in the vent briefly. Seems like that should have been worked into the movie more. Instead the camera watching times are just used to dream sequence repeatedly.
