Depends on what you want out of it I guess. I personally find it fulfilling, but I never had any grand delusions about getting rid of all the trolls forever or whatever it is that many seem to think the role is about. For every troll banned there's two more take their place. It is in every sense of the word a Sisyphean task, and we are little more than janitors who clean up the occasional mess. That said, keeping the place clean and presentable is fulfilling for me and I've always gotten along well with people, so yeah. I find it pretty rewarding.

It's probably like being the dom in a dom/sub relationship. the best feeling is participating in a conversation and you click a page just to be redirected to see youve been suspended for 6 months while the other side which was talking about the same thing didnt get suspended at all, all while the subject matter was something completely benign. very enriching and gratifying. unfortunately i guess its not something everybody appreciates the fine nuances of which is evident in the dwindling active poster counter month to month --- "well, yeah, and a lot of minorities go to see minstrel shows, too." - PyroSpoon ...
