Always remember that the entire point of trailers is to trick you into seeing movies. Even absolutely dogshit terrible movies can have cool trailers.

Wait until after the movie comes out and see what people are saying about it. I doubt anyone's going to say it was "fun" after they've seen it (especially since most of the rumors about the test screenings are that they were extremely negative).

every test screening for everything is always negative, what's your point.

"superheroes switching places when they use their powers" is a genuinely fun idea and I'm glad they included it. But on the other hand

- it doesn't really fit with the tone of the previous Captain Marvel film which was (relatively speaking) a grimmer sci Fi story
- it features two total randoms from two mediocre-to-bad Disney Plus shows
- the main plot of Captain Marvel 1 was already continued in Secret Invasion, and it was handled horrendously

There was a box office twitter account that was warning cape-shit fans to unfollow for their mental health because the movie is probably going to bomb horrendously. Its currently projecting to do worse than Black Adam and Flash and those did not do well in any sense.

Monica and Kamala are the real draw for me

Maybe the final numbers will be different but that's what the movie is projecting and its coming out in the US in a few days. Its out in Korea so I could see it tonight if I had any interest but I'm certain its not for me.

It's hard to believe but it's what presales numbers look like.

It's not just mediocre Marvel films hurting the brand; when DC releases shit film after shit film it also hurts the superhero genre. So this could wind up being a bigger bomb than the Flash if word of mouth isn't amazing.

"pretty popular box office account on here" Seems legit. Especially the part where he cuts out the name of the account in the screenshot.

I mean, I hope the movie is good and I'm probably going to like it a lot more than the haters but I feel bad for anyone who would need to unfollow a guy trashing the movie for mental health. That's a point where you're genuinely putting too much of yourself into caring if the movie does well.

• A character from a show most people didn't watch(and being a teenager will be divisive)
• A side character a from the very first MCU show, released when COVID was still in peoples' minds. A side character that didn't get powers until the very end.
• And finally Captain Marvel herself. Who had one movie...and that's it.

After Antman, most people feel pretty done with the MCU. There are now 3 different MCU set up plots going on, and NO movie or TV show has actually referenced them.
